WOW! I can't wait to see this in person! I love the colors, especially the contrast of the blue and the orange. Maybe we can think of a fun clay project to do together this summer! I have some brown molding clay (the real stuff!). Love, Nana

Hi Myles, I really love your last two pieces of artwork. Your cardboard sculpture felt like it was in motion, spinning & whirling! Did you do that on purpose? I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) with Pop Pop and Uncle Mike. There was an exhibit where an artist recycled cardboard found on the street into amazing works of art. Your art made me think of him again. I wish I could remember his name. I will research so we can look at some if his stuff together. I remember having a HUGE discussion with Uncle Mike. He argued that garbage can’t become fine art. I argued that ANYTHING that is transformed into something beautiful that also makes you really think about the world IS the best art! Because those are two of the many important jobs art plays in our lives, right? Love you!

Wow! I love this! How did you get the idea to add the fork propellers? GG Pop used to say “You can make a brick fly if it has enough lift!” Do you know what lift is? And how it helps to make things fly? I am assuming your propellers are creating a current of air to make the lift. How does the air blow? In a straight line? In a circle like a hurricane? In a tunnel shape like a tornado? In a intake motion like a vacuum cleaner? I want to know how it WORKS!?!

Dear Myles, I think you're on to something here. Are these propellers on top of the car? And when they spin the car flys? I have two big questions for you. 1.is there something special about the shape of the propeller that makes it fly? Are the spikes important? 2. If I put some fork shaped propellers on my car do you think I can make it fly?

Myles, This is such a pretty picture! I love how you filled up all the space with color and used some black lines to make some borders. I saw that it was from something called the square art challenge in your class. Can you tell me more about what that meant?

Dear Myles, This is a super cool picture. To me it looks like you drew you and Mommy and Daddy and Ada and Ella in the big house. Is that right? Who else is in your picture? Love Aunt Leslie

Wow! There is so much action in this artwork. I love how the paint strokes circle the yellow. The writing on top looks very nice, have you been practicing writing letters at school? Are some of the snowmen wearing party hats? They remind me of weedles!

Myles, those are some awesome snow men that you drew in your picture! Did you get to make any real snowmen this winter? I especially like their eyes, they all seem to be looking at the same thing, I wondered what it might be? Love Aunt Leslie

Hi Myles, I love how you used an orange background with black paint. Did you know that the kindergarteners at Arlington are also learning about lines, shapes and geometry? So cool! Love, Nana

Myles- I really like your drawing! It looks like you spent a long time getting all of those colors on there. It kind of looks like a bird is flying out of an ocean in the sunset. I can't wait to see more of your artwork this year! Love Aunt Leslie
