BEWARE! I hear these guys are running rampant in the desert southwest, and prey on unsuspecting tourists. The boy monsters are looking for their better half. (That would be the other half of the head they're missing.) They love cilantro, and are attracted to it. Keep an eye out for them, as they are keeping their only eye out for you. Poppy

I LOVE this monster, Ed! It's creative to give him that big mouth and tongue hanging out and then just the one eye. Your mom should put it out for a Halloween decoration!

Once again you captured the essence of the Packers in your artwork. Too bad the team isn't playing up to your and our expectations. Perhaps this will inspire them to do better. Well done. Poppy

Nice job Ed. Nothing says football better than a Packers fan and a Packers stadium in MN. Hope your art teacher appreciates the good taste you brought to your creation. Poppy

Ed. Thank you so much for a wee taste of spring with your flowers and butterfly. It looks as if it could be used to create a stained glass salute to spring. Either way, it’s much more “springy” than our continuing winter. Keep up the good work, and, oh yeah, stay warm. Poppy

Ed. Is this a portrayal of the migratory birds returning to the Upper Midwest after wintering down south? It looks like it to me, but then as always I could be wrong. No matter, I like it a lot. The sun looks nice and warm and inviting as it sets. You’ve gotten me anxious for spring. Poppy

Ed. I love pancakes, and your sculpture is making me Hungry, Jack! Is the pancake pot used to bake pancakes, serve pancakes, or eat pancakes. Perhaps all of the above. A little maple syrup and it’s chow time. Keep up the good work. Food related art is always welcome. Poppy

Ed I love these! So colorful and I love how they come out of the page. Wet cool effect! Just what we need after this dreary spring. Love you!
Posted 3 years ago by Emily (Mother)

Oh boy, Ed, this one really nails it for me. I love my spring flowers and you have really poured the color into these. The butterfly is equally stunning. With all the dreary weather we have been having, this picture lifts my spirits. Great job!!

Gorgeous, Ed! Looks like some of the sun sets we see out our patio door! Nice job!

I love the colors in this, Ed.! It's the colors I think of when I think about the southwestern part of the US. Maybe your trip to New Mexico influenced you?

I always loved the clay things our kids made in school..still have a couple of them. This one will be a keeper too. I can see why you were excited about it. Do you plan on using it? Is it big enough around to actually put a pancake in it? Nice work.

Hey Ed. Nice work. So what was your motivation for this project? It should be as clear as night and day, but I'm not seeing it. Perhaps you could shed some light on it for me. Thanks for sharing. Poppy

I love the nice stark contrast between the black night sky and the vivid blue sky. I also love the little fringe of green grass at the bottom of the day picture. Oh, and I just noticed..Is that the moon at the upper right corner of the night sky? Nice work.

Such cool colors, Ed! It looks like a woven place mat or something like that. It has that kind of depth to it, as though you can see that some pieces are woven under and some pieces woven over others. Very cool.

I always enjoy seeing your artwork, Ed. This is a very creative pumpkin. I never saw one quite like it in the pumpkin patch but I bet it would get picked first if it were there. The black and white striped designs are what makes it stand out I think. Nice job!

Great drawing and colorizing. The piece should be called the" Yummo-Corno-Copia because it looks oh so delicious. All you need is a nice smoked turkey to go with it. Have a great Thanksgiving. Poppy

My goodness, Ed! You are quite the artist. I know I could not do as good a job as this. Your cornucopia looks very realistic. Great work!

Yo' Ed. Pretty spooky looking skull even with all the jewels and hearts and fancy accoutrements. I like it. I'll bet your man Thomas Hamilton would have also liked it had he been faster on the draw. Keep up the good work. Poppy

Ed, are you a Badger hockey fan? According to Paul Braun, their long time commentator, the team's colors were Cardinal and White! So, "Thanks" for your support. Great job on the cardinal. Poppy

Very nice Ed. A smooth transition from yellows to oranges and back to yellows. Quite realistic. Looks just like pumpkins from garden last year. Crop failure this year, so glad to see at least one home "grown" pumpkin in the family this year. And, good enough to eat!

Very nice Ed. I'm seeing a gruesomely scary pumpkin being. Wouldn't want to run up against that in my pumpkin patch! But then, I could be wrong. I'm seeing lots of new and strange things out of my recently refurbished eye. Keep then coming as my focus will certainly improve.

Goodness Ed, not only are you a baker, but an artist as well, and such a good one I might add. May be potential for a career there, Just ask GG what bakery products cost these days at her former employer's establishment. Just a thought. Any plans to expand your repertoire to include bull dogs and beagle hounds? You know what they say: "Move over kitty, and let the big dog in." Keep up the good work. -- Poppy
