I really like this work Sam! I love the yellow peeking through the petals of the flowers. Is this done with paints or crayons? It looks like you had to do a lot of background work and you didn’t let it blur out the stems of the flowers. Nice job! Keep creating, Buddy!!

After reading what the focus of your lesson was, I understand the purple hues you chose to use in your self portrait. The difference in your two eyes is very interesting. I was immediately drawn to the one on the right. The monkey on the left side is really well done. I’d like to know why you chose to include him in your work and if it has some significance for you? As always, I love to see what you are completing in art class.

Oh my goodness, Sam! This one is SO cool! I love how you used the square shape on the right to divide the face into separate sides. My favorite is the white eye on the left. The different color tones draw your to look at it first. Nice job, Buddy! Like I always say, keep creating!

This is really an interesting art piece. I’ve never heard of the artist you were studying, but I knew these were buildings as soon as I looked at it. I love how you used the color orange in each building. Chicago has a lot of different size structures in every neighborhood. You did a great job of capturing that. Well done, Sam!!!
