Dear SarahKate, I am a friend of your mothers, and she was kind enough to send me a link to this site to see your artwork. I work in the field of contemporary art as a private art consultant. That means that I spend all of my time and energy evaluating artwork and deciding what people should collect. I was blown away by your artwork and in particular I noticed a few things that made your work stand out: 1. Use of Color You have an amazing sense of color. You isolate the color in away that really builds the composition. Moreover, the color is vivid, alive and lush. It reminds me of how Matisse uses color. 2. Composition You have a strong sense of compostion. You layout your image in a direct but interesting way. I particularly liked how you used the lines in the pumpkin patch to draw the viewer's eye up to the centered image. Your compositions are balanced, yet at the same time they keep your eyes moving. 3. Dear SarahKate, Once again you have mastered depth perception. You really know how to create at the forefront and then have us follow items to the rear. I am learning so much from you. The colors and the sky remind me of that great artist - Vincent Van Gogh. You, like he, used brilliant colors and a swirling sky as in his beautiful painting Starry Night. We can see all your strokes making this creation pulsate. I'm very impressed with your work and I hope your parents will save it for your future.

This is such a beautiful picture of Fall. You can see it's harvest time by the colors used for the sky. I really admire how SarahKate used perspective. She taught me to understand it when I followed the lines of the pumpkin patch. I love the fence with some posts falling down. There is so much going on in this picture and your eyes follow a circle and perspective to see it all. You are truly gifted, Miss SarahKate, and I hope to see more of your work.
