Jacob, Is this a self portrait? You might want to look up Picasso's "Blue Period." Keep evolving. Keep reaching. Love, Grandpa Rod

Jacob, Wow! When I get to your house, I hope you will take time to explain your meaning of your picture to me. It is vivid, colorful and dynamic. I see night and day, a tree in a road, and perhaps a lake - all seething with energy, and enclosed within a green or emerald stone border. It is exciting Jake! Love, Grandpa Rod

Well done Jacob! If you get a chance, look up Vincent Van Gogh. Look at some of his paintings. Your use of flat forms, bold strokes and the vivid use of color remind me of his work. His life was interesting, but sad. He taught himself to paint, sold no paintings, worked mostly in isolation, and had periods of serious mental illness. He died very poor and today his paintings are worth millions. Grandpa Rod

This is a wonderful drawing Jake! Although, it does look a little like your Daddy? Were you trying to make a picture of your Daddy? :-) We miss and love you and hope to visit soon! Love Auntie Lisa
