Dear Joshua, This new piece is fabulous! The colors are terrific. Grandpa wants to order something with this particular work on it. Maybe I will have note paper and envelopes made again with this on it. I read what Aunt Pam said about it and I agree! Keep up the good work. Love, Grandma

Joshua, I love this one! Is it inspired by Picasso? Love how the purples in the background pick up the purples in the face. (Is he someone you know??) Keep enjoying what you're creating. It's fantastic! Aunt Bobo

My dearest Joshua, This piece of art is absoltely amazing. It reminds me of the artist Vincent Van Gogh's work, with the broken lines and yellow sky. This is in the tradition of Impressionism. I guess you studied some of the Impressionists. Your painting is filled with sunshine and life! Like you!!! I am so proud of you. All my love, Grandma Bunny

Dear Joshua, Another great picture! I love how you used perspective again and how you used the "dots" to create the images. You must have inherited Grandma's talent for art..because you don't get it from me! Keep it up! Love. Mom

Joshua! I am just now looking at your "Protecting Pumpkins Picture"! (Home computer too slow -- so I'm at work.) To me the scarecrow looks like he really likes his job because he is smiling and looking proud, but at the same time he takes it seriously! You can see how many pumpkins there are because they go far back in the picture. You used "perspective" exactly right! I really enjoyed your work! Aunt Pam

Oct.30, 2006 Dear Josh, We always knew you had a good eye for art and composition when we saw the beautiful photographs you took of the garden and interiors of your grandparents house. We saved them and will also save a copy of this lovely drawing. Aunt Estelle and Uncle Stuart

Dear Joshua, Even though it was a little difficult to see the artwork on my computer screen, I did notice that you understand perspective, and you made the lines in the pumpkin field go back on an angle. The bird who wants to attack, is definitely in the background and smaller, as he should be in the distance. He looks really scary! The scarecrow's teeth are quite menacing looking, too. I like that the whole page is filled with color and detail. You are a good artist! Love, Grandma Bunny
