Thanks so much for being such a great art student. I'm joining your fan club so I can see the art you make in the future. Ask you family to help you keep adding your creations to your digital portfolio:) Your biggest art fan,

Hi Jace, We're going to learn how to do this digital art. Did someone take your photo and then teach you how to blend it into an art canvass? I am impressed as usual. Mema Judy

Hi Jace, Do you think you could do this again? It would be neat if you could make a twin to this one so your mom could place the two of them on the dining room table to celebrate something special - like your mom and dad's anniversary coming up on April 18th. That was cool paper you used with all of the colors and designs. It looks like mostly secondary colors. I wonder who designed it, don't you? There are jobs which require workers to design fabric, paper, birthday napkins, etc. I think it would be a fun job and one that you would be very good at. Keep up the good work! Mema Judy

Jace...I just did my weekly ironing and was stuck in the laundry room for over an hour. Luckily your "Cat in the Hat" drawing is framed and hanging on the wall in there so I had something fun to look at. I imagined that the Cat would love to pop off the wall and make some magical messes. Art is not only fun for the artist to create. It is also supposed to delight the person who stands in front of it. Your Cat in the Hat certainly does that! Thanks for allowing us to have it forever. Mema Judy

Now this is an interesting piece. I'm thinking it is constructed of clay and then painted after it's dried. I have no idea what a cartouche is...perhaps it's a type of monument. You'll need to educate me. Whatever it is, it is nice to look at and I love the hands that made it. Mema Judy

Hi Jace, Looks like you've created a trophy extraordinaire. I'm always impressed with the detail work in your creations and wonder what kind of paint or drawing tools you used. So is this a made-up Santa dude or is he really a Greek mythological figure? Tell your teacher that we really appreciate getting to see your art work. Thanks for sharing. Mema Judy

Hi Jace, What fun it was to open our email and see a notice from Artsonia that you had produced a new piece of art. I have always liked Blue Dog but, as you may remember, red is my favorite color of all so your Red Dog is very appealing to me. What a nice job you did with the color mixing and the designs you created all around Red Dog. Another winner from you. Love, Mema Judy

Hey Bud! You've done it again -- created a very interesting and colorful painting. I'm hoping you'll keep on creating art during the summer break. We have your Cat in the Hat hanging in our laundry room. Can't wait for you to see how nice it looks. Bumpa and Mema Judy

Dear Jace, This new artwork is fabulous. I love all of the designs you blended together along with the color and shapes. Matisse is one of my favorite modern artists. If you keep creating amazing artwork you might become famous like him one day. You are already famous with me, of course. Love, Mema Judy

Hi Jace, Remember when we went on a ride at Universal Adventure Island that was full of Dr. Suess characters? That was the same day you had your face painted. This artwork reminds me of the fun we all had together on that trip. I love your artwork. You did such a nice job with shading and texturing. Keep up the good work. Love, Mema Judy

Maple leaves are so beautiful in their natural state but you have fancied them up so that they have become art. I think what you are learning about making art is wonderful. Mema

Hi Jace, Once more you have created a wonderful work of art. I love your drawing and what it says about you and your feelings about music. I'm so glad your school provides an art teacher who is so good about finding appropriate assignments. And I'm so glad we get to see your work. We are so proud of you, Jace. Love, Bumpa Hooch and Mema Judy

Hi Jace, You really have me wondering how you created this picture. Did you put on the goggles and muppet nose and have a photograph taken? It looks like you added the shading effects with some kind of digital tool. Anyway it is a very attractive new piece. Another good job -- thanks for sharing. Mema Judy

Hi Jace, I am a total fan of yours when it comes to your art work. What a neat artistic view of the solar system. I wonder if that is how it looks from heaven. Keep up the great work. Mema Judy

Hi Jace, We just got notification of your new artwork. I really like the portrait but I know it isn't you. So I'm wondering who it could be. I'm amazed at your ability. Did you make a pencil sketch first and then go over it with permanent marker? Whatever you did, the results are impressive. Keep up the good work. Mema Judy

Hi Jace - we're always excited to see your latest artwork. This one must be a new project as we haven't seen anything like it in your brothers' portfolios before. Did someone trace your shadow as you stood before a light? We're curious to know how you did this. We have the feeling not everybody chose the "iCompete" title for their work. It would be very fun to see a whole collection of these - perhaps they were on display at your school. Good work buddy. Love, Bumpa and Mema

Jace, we loved seeing your latest artwork. Did you draw the tree with crayon, ink, or craypas? It looks like the blue sky was done with chalk or watercolor. There seems to be a tiny bit of pink or purple in the sky and it looks very realistic. We can tell you worked hard on this piece. We enjoy looking through all of your art pieces every time you send us word of a new one. We love your work and we love you. Bumpa and Mema

Wow, Jace! I can see that this piece involved a lot of thinking, planning, and work. And the resulting picture is very pleasing. I like the woven background too. Keep up the good work. Love, Mema Judy

Wow Jace - even before I saw the description of your "Wild Thing" I knew your painting had to be inspired from "Where the Wild Things Are." I love it and Bumpa does too. Would you think it would be cool to have a shirt with your picture on it? We could make that happen if you would like. Love you, Mema Judy
