Last days are the best. Enjoy your summer.

Owen, Your work is visually interesting and pleasant in the small version. AND, it begged me to make it larger to see what was going on in the details at the center of your drawing. At first I thought I saw a person in the middle. Then I realized the figure in the middle was upside down. Turning it over, I saw Bugs Bunny! Great job!!

Owen, Your drawing is quite appealing and wonderfully detailed. I smiled big when I first looked at it. You might try animation sometime. You may be good at that too! Love, Grammy

I absolutely love your blend of colors and the creative capture of a mini-landscape!!
- GARY on January 25, 2023

I LOVE your drawing of bugs bunny! You captured his face perfectly. I can tell you put a lot of effort into this drawing. Nice job!!
- Sarah (Mother) on January 24, 2023

Owen- I love this photo but I don’t know how you created it. The purplish tone to the background is beautiful and an effective highlight—even though it can’t be “real”. Tell me how you did it when I see you over the Christmas holidays. Love, Grammy
- Jo on December 21, 2022

Star Warsian swipes creatvely highlight the common plat leaves. Your brain has such an incredible eye into seeing what others miss. Super!!!!

Clever background to highlight the vivid flower colors.

Great use of camera background.

Beautifully capturing the subtle colors of lavendar and sage? Great ingenuity!
- Pepaw on December 6, 2022

Owen, I love the bright colors in this photo. So cheerful! I would be so happy if I came along and saw this beauty. Lucky you! You saw it, and you took a great photo. Love, Grammy
- Jo on November 16, 2022

Owen, This is a picture that makes me feel happy. It is bright and colorful—perhaps because it is Christmas holiday colors that it pleases me. I appreciate your placement of the flowers — just off center. Makes the picture seem more real. Lovely job, Owen!!! Love, Grammy

Owen, This photo is intriguing to me. I don’t understand how the green and yellow curving lights happened! Is it the sun shining on “something”? It seems like a picture of something otherworldly. Congrats on an interesting photo. Love, Grammy
- Jo on October 26, 2022

I like the contrasting shades and hues of green. You did so well with capturing the maturing dominance over new growth. It's not unlike human life cycles where our maturity should shine brighter than the lesser, new growth sets and grounds as a foundation to greater maturity. Well done, Owen.
- Pepaw on October 14, 2022

Wonderful perspective, Owen. I love how the house, in miniature, shares the space, yet the beauty of the flower dominates!!
- Pepaw on October 14, 2022

Owen, Your selfie is terrific! You look so handsome and serious like a mature 5th grader—the oldest kids in your school. Love, Grammy
- Jo on September 21, 2022
Wonderful selfie. You always do great work.

That's quite an assortment of objects in a drawing. What was the theme? Some characters resemble math symbols like Pi, and square root. Good guess??
- Pepaw on May 19, 2022

Cool drawing, Owen. That's quite a perception.
- Pepaw on April 27, 2022
Owen, I adore this picture! The detail is fabulous: lines on the hands; designs on the bottom of the shoes. And the message is delightfully obvious! If this were on the door to your room I would know what you wanted me to do! Love, Grammy
- Jo on April 27, 2022

Owen, I feel like I surprised this fox…maybe scared him and now he is staring at me. But is he smiling? I think so. Your depiction of the snow field is really good. I enjoyed this piece Of art. Love, Grammy
- Jo on March 16, 2022
Owen, your colors to create the reddish brown were used very effectively. Very realistic. Foxes are easily distracted to movement and sound. At a dead run, they will stop and turn their attention to something that caused their paws (pause). You captured that pause and stare very well. Great job!!!!
- Pepaw on February 23, 2022

Your tree is very thoughtful. Nice touches of drop watercolors.
- Pepaw on January 5, 2022
Owen, I so enjoyed reading about all the things for which you are grateful. I was inspired by your long and important list. It seems right to use a tree as it assumes that your list of things you are grateful for will grow as the tree grows. Love, Grammy
- Jo on December 22, 2021

Dear Owen, I commend your art teacher for assigning her students such a creative project. Your drawing is well done. It gives Jesse Owens such a determined look on his face. I wonder why you chose Jesse Owens? Did you admire what he did when you read about him? Or was it something to do with your name is Owen and his is similar? Excellent work! Love, Grammy
- Jo on June 2, 2021
