Ryker dear, I love the way the star light reflects off of your pumpkin. It glistens!! You should save this to decorate with next Fall! The yellow streaks make the pumpkin look real -- like it is still ripening. Isn't art class fun? Love you, Memaw

Your sea otter looks so happy!!Is he about to fall into the blue water and float on his back? I know river otters do that, but I do not know very much about how sea otters play. He looks very friendly and cuddly!

Dear Ryker, At first when I looked at your white heart, I thought I saw two people shaking hands. Can you see them? Then I saw two eyes and a smile, a face. Can you see both images? There is another artist named Dali who drew many pictures that way -- two images in one picture. Trying blinking. That helps me "switch" images. It is fun! We love you.

Goodness! There are so many different ways to draw lines. They can be swirly, straight, curvy, pointy, and squarish. Whew!! Lots of options! I love the way you grouped them together. Wow! This combination of yellow and orange made me think of all the trees with leaves this time of year...and then I noticed the stem at the top and realized you had painted a pumpkin with lots of dots of fall colors. I love all those truck and train cars! Did you see any BIG freight trains when you drove out West this summer? When I was a little girl, we used to count the freight cars. Did you do that? I know there must be many trucks on Whidbey Island, but are there any trains?? Pawpaw and I love you very much!
