Like the typewriter image. That is one old typewriter image. That is the type of typewriter your father’s grandmother, Sissy, used when she worked as a secretary in southern Ohio, before World War II. Have you ever seen a typewriter like that? Certainly has a lot of style!

Oh Christopher, your owl is so cute!!! The colors are vivid and bright. It gives personality to your owl. Very neatly and tidily drawn and painted. Your owl reminds me of the great horned owl that lived in our woods. One night, years ago, when grandpappy and I were going to bed, I heard an owl calling in the woods. I started calling and imitating the owl. Finally I got the owl to come closer and closer and closer. I kept calling. Grandpappy did not appreciate me calling the owl to our window. He said “go to sleep!”But the owl started calling right outside our window in the tree. I was so excited, but your grandpappy just wanted to sleep.

Singing in the rain but with a rainbow umbrella ....now that is a happy theme and happy work of art. You have movement with the rain falling on your very colorful umbrella. You are standing on circles like rocks. But the interesting thing is the way you drew it at an angle that makes the picture move as if you were riding a Merry-go-Round. Fun!!!

Your artwork makes me smile. It looks like two owl eyes, each from, a different owl. The pink and blue eye looks like the eye is studying you carefully. "Are you going to see me if I press myself against this tree trunk and blend in with Mother Nature?" The other owl eye makes me think of an owl who is enjoying the light of the evening moon. Hi Christopher, Wow! That is three dimensional.........full of interesting shapes like the accordion stairs and green circles which look like they are dancing. You have so many bright, fun colors popping out and up and everywhere. Your artwork reminds me of a circus. Beautiful artwork Christopher! Love, Grandma
