Wow! Those colors really pop off the black background! The angle that you put the creature at makes it looks like it’s traveling really fast. So cool!

That looks amazing! You can totally see how it is three-dimensional on the edges. I think it’s really cool that they’re teaching you how to make tintake and shades—I did not learn that until a couple of years ago. Awesome job!

I really love the color combinations on your different planets! I think that I would like to visit every single one of them if that was possible. What kind of life is on each of the planets, I wonder?

Whoaaaa, cool skull! That’s a hard thing to draw! Using charcoal was a great thing to use because you can blend it to many so many different shades of gray. Good job!

It is so cool how many colors you can get out of one color just by mixing in white, gray or black! Let me guess, are the ice cream flavors starting at the bottom: licorice, avocado, split pea soup, corn, lemon?

You did a great job showing all the parts of the leaves! That must have been fun using the watercolors on top of the pastels—it’s a cool feeling when the watercolors roll off of the waxy pastels.

That is fantastic, Ella! What did you use to make the print that looks like a little spokes? I’m having a hard time guessing what it is, it looks really cool!

Have you ever seen a spider shoot a strand of its silk straight up in the air? Then the air blows the strand until the strand sticks to a surface and the spider can climb right up. It’s really cool!

I like the little pieces sticking out from around the bird’s head. They look like feathers that came loose because the bird was squawking and flapping about!

Love love love this cute cuddly dionosaur. Your colors are beautiful.I like how you got a basket design into the drawing. It’s like a play on words with the authors name and of course you have the crown. Did you ever notice how dinosaurs sort of resemble birds? -- Grandma Shirley

Ella - I like your mittens. When your Mom or Grandma teaches you to knit, you could make a pair of real mittens. Mittens are warmer and easier to make than gloves. -- Grandpa

This art is really fun to look at because some of the squares and rectangles look near to me and some look far away. I wonder why? The black color makes all of the other colors look brighter and closer maybe? -- Grandma

I like your Kandinsky circles. The green and blue ones just pop out and all of the other colored circles are pretty too. It reminds me of beads or caterpillars. -- Grandma
