Franklin, your art work is getting better and better.

This really feels like spring, babes. I love it.

As Franklin gets older, we are more impressed with his talent. His paintings become more meaningful as he presents his feelings.

This dude is sweet. I love his long nose and the different shades of purple/pink on his wings and legs.

Love the colors! So vivid!! Nice job!

You know what, Franklin, I am fascinated by this picture! It is so filled with details that tell a story. All the creatures obviously live underground, and you can tell something about their lives (a present in one path, drinks in another, and there are so many paths that are close to each other, but that do not interfere with each other. Are those balloons in the center? They almost look like a girl's face with her nose and her two eyes. This look is accentuated by what could be the brown hair around her head! I love seeing your work. I find such interesting things in everything you do! Love you, Frankie

WOW! This is two ways of showing the same thing as very different things! I am wondering what you had in mind when you created this. Copuld it be that you were given the left-hand drawing as a model to copy? I see strong similarites, but I don't don't know for sure what I am looking at. By the way, I love my wonderful t-shirt with your art on it! Be seeing you soon when you come down at Christms time. We got the picture of you and your brothers visiting with Santa Claus today. What fun that must have been!

Frankie, this looks as though you were really enjoying yourself with colors in this new work. I like the way you express the fun you were having with them by not trying to paint shapes and by scattering each beautiful color around here and there. It did take me a while to see through all the pretty colors to the ocean life underwater, but there it is - drawn with a black pen! What a surprise! And how realistic you made some of the fish look. I really like the fact that you managed to have both realistic and whimsical (That means things that are not realistic, but are purely from your imagination.) in the same artwork! Your picture made me feel that I was looking through the water to see what was in it! Keep on having fun experimenting with different types of art. It can be a great way to express what you are feeling inside! Grandpa and I are so excited to get to be with you and your brothers in a few weeks! That will be such fun! Lots of love to you, Frankie! MoMo! This lion is fierce! To me it almost looks as if his mane is ON FIRE! What a great choice of colors!

Heh, Granson! I LOVE this snowman you drew! I don't know if you understand the word "perspective". It has to so with exactly the way you see something, because of where you were in relation to the thing you are seeing. This fellow looks as though he is way taller than you and so, when you look up at him, this is what you actually see. I have never before seen a snowman drawn from this perspective, and so I think that makes it extra special! Of course, the heavy snow coming down all around him adds something really neat, too. I am wondering where you got the idea to make most of the flakes blue, with a few here and there being white. That is a fabulous touch! It looks so real! Kid, you amaze me again! I love you, Grandma

Franklin, once more as I see your artwork, I think you are quite a creative person. You use color so well! Another thing I especially like about this piece is that the first two boxes on the left are not nearly the size of the others, and yet you did not attempt to draw the full circles the way we see them in the other boxes. It is amazing that you drew what we would see if someone had cut down through what had been full-sized boxes. That is pretty clever of you! Keep up your good work, Franklin. I love seeing the art you create! Love, Grandma

Franklkin, once more I am struck by your wonderful use of color! I find myself looking, and then looking some more, because I enjoy the design accented by all this color. Did you paint, or color, the whole piece first and then scratch out the design? Keep on doing creative things! You seem to have a good eye for really interesting art! It was so wonderful to be with you last week! Love to you always

Hi, Frankie! It is such fun to see your art work! One of the things I like best is the way you use the space that might otherwise be a plain border. You really ad to the story by showing the road and all the things on it. If this were your town, where would you live? Nice job! Love Grandma Arlene

This is a very interesting picture, Frankie. I am not sure what each thing is, but it sure looks to me like a city with high buildings, and the figure in the middle is especially interesting. It could be suggesting a ferris wheel. That would be great fun! The figure with only one rectangle - a red one near the top - has me wondering. On each end of that drawing, there are two dots that could be eyes, or feet, or wheels. I will be interested when you tell me about what you were thinking when you were drawing this whole picture. Did I get anything right? I am so glad that your school has this site, so Grandpa and I can see your exciting work! Keep it up! Yea, Franklin!

Franklin, I am so impressed by your artwork! For your owl, you kept your coloring quite nicely within the drawing, and I love both your choice of colors and your placement of them. Is that the sun that is beside him - or maybe in back of him? Somehow this piece of art reall appeals to me in a special way.
