Alexis, I am so proud of the fantastic job you did drawing the Statue of Liberty. I hope someday you will be able to see it in person. Here is a bit of information for you about the Statue - your Great, Great, Great Grandfather (on my side of the family) was an ironworker and he helped build the iron railing around the base of the Statue. This is our claim to fame to pass along in our family. When you go back to school you can share this with your teacher and class. Alexis, Another beautiful work of art. Did your teacher explain what a cornucopia is. Well just in case it is a symbol of abundance......a basket shaped like a goat's horn filled to overflowing with flowers, fruit, corn and nuts. It showed how thankful the pilgrims were that 1st Thanksgiving for all that they had and that they had survived in this new land of America. Happy Thanksgiving to you.
