Larkin, This is an awesome design! I would love to be the worm looking up in your picture! So very, very clever. You have an interesting teacher. She comes up with cool ideas for you to explore. Did you like doing this one? Looks like fun to me. You have so many different structures and different features. I have to keep looking. How did you think of so many features? How did you know so much? What a smart cookie you are! Love Nonna

Larkin, This is so cool! How did you make the recurring items in black? Did you make a stamp? I think your colors in the background really make it all pop! I don’t think it would be as nifty without those colors. What do you think? Love, nonna

Larkin, this is SO COOL! Maybe you can teach me when we visit? You have painted a lot but how did you like working on weaving? Isn’t it neat how you gave your picture such 3D perspective? Are you going to miss art class over summer break? Love Nonna

Larkin, Isn’t cutting out a block print so much fun?! I love doing this too! I can see each birds movement in every single print. It is amazing all you have to do is turn the print in a different angle to see this. I’m glad to see you took the time to make individual feathers to create the wings. Plus you captured the birds neck and head stretching just like they do in flight. What was the most fun for you when you were working on this? Lov, Nonna

Dear Larkin, You created a very interesting piece of art! I can imagine myself walking along the path and over that great bridge from the open field to the deep forest. I like the way you captured the different sides of the river. The complimentary colors you chose were a very unique combination. Such a strong picture! What do you like the most? I can’t wait to see all of your work this year. Love, Nonna

Dear Larkin, Your art work continues to AMAZE me! This landscape is tres bon! (Ask granddaddy what that means). Your colors are so coordinated and yet I see the differences in how the ground changes. Did you know what you wanted before you started to tear the paper strips? Keep dreaming art! Love, Nonna

Larkin, your art is getting better and better. I love bees. I love yellow jackets too, but we know Avery does not. Georgia Tech, my college, had a yellow jacket mascot. I love your pretty color choices too. I can hardly wait to see your next work

Larkin, Beautiful! The bees stand out so well because you have such vibrant colors underneath. They just POP out! I love you took such different colors when you made the stripes. Everything just stands out nicely. Oh, are those nice bees or do I have to be very careful? Ouch, ouch, ouch! Love, Nonna

Larkin I love the colors you used! That is one BIG queen bee! Are those the larvae the workers are taking care of for her? Do you like bees? I am not a fan of bees because I get sick when I get stung. But we need to protect our honeybees. Do you like honey? Love Nonna
