I like your unicorn picture! She’s a very pretty color and I think that Celestia is the perfect name for a unicorn. Great job!??

M says this is a unicorn, although the horn is covered up. (The giant sail bit is the mane.) The yellow thing in the background is a self-portrait. The unicorn is Celestia from My Little Pony.

M says: I made this fish all by myself. First I heard a story about the fish and then I made the fish. It was very sparkly and very good. The story was called "The Rainbow Fish."

M says: To make this the art teacher put lipstick on my lips and then I kissed the paper! It was very fun. I made the stem first and after that I made the grass.

M says: this is my house. I made it with a little help. To make the people I painted my fingers & then placed them on the paper. My daddy has a mustache but I forgot to draw his mouth. I made the house first, and then did the people. To make the house I first put down a square piece of paper on the background. Then I placed on the roof. The next art day the art teacher already had put on the door and the windows. I drew crosses on the windows. And then I did the people.

M says: First the teacher drew a line half-way to the bottom of the paper, then we had to put colored paper on a lot of places on the top part. We put water on the paper in a section and then we put it down, and if it was not put down all of the way then we would put a little bit of water on the parts that weren't touching the paper. We left it until the next art day and then we pulled the tissue paper off the paper and then the teacher put dots of glue all around and then she asked us to put our hands on the paper pink and count to twenty and then we cut out the vase and chose two colors of paper to glue on the top and bottom. Then on the NEXT art day our teacher put paint on the bottom of celery and I pushed it down on the paper to make the flowers. She put pencil lines on there and we traced with a green marker and then we cut out the leaves and then we glued them on.

M says: someone else drew the swirls on the day I was sick. My snowman has to pee. My snowman is a girl. I liked making my snowman. It's made out of paper and chalk and crayons and a big sharpie. The outlines are made out of sharpie. I'm pretty sure the swirls mean it's at night, and the snowman might be scared.

M says: I made it in art class. I used bleeding tissue paper; it doesn't bleed like blood. It bleeds color. And it also has not a real frame; it's framed with paper. I glued it on myself. It was so fun making it, and I even got to used a sharpie for the veins of the leaf. First they traced it in pencil, then I used a sharpie. And there were pencil lines (they drew pencil lines; they traced it) and I cut on the pencil lines. It was so much fun making it. I got to cut and paint all by myself; we got to use cool and warm colors. Cool colors like purple when you pop a purple grape in your mouth they make you feel cool; that's what a cool color is, and warm colors are like when you put your hands next to a fire or a heater, and that is what cool and warm colors are. The leaf is filled with warm colors; that's why I used the bleeding tissue paper.

M says: It's a ghost and it's a monster. And I made it myself. I have it at home now and I made it in art class. We started by learning names of lines like zig-zaggy line and dotted line and a humped line and swirly line. We colored it with water colors. And I made it have a smile and pointy teeth, and there are horns.

This project started several weeks ago with drawing lines; M also gave me a detailed explanation of cutting out teeth and gluing them into the monster's mouth which I utterly failed to record.

M says: I made this scarecrow all by myself. I learned how to make fringe so I could do the scarecrow's stuffing- I mean straw. I'll tell you more about the scarecrow later.

M says: I liked the background. I picked it. It's shady black, and I decorated it with a robot, and I also made a frame around it in art. There's a control panel with an on & off switch which is very important. It's shoes are made out of very shiny paper; it's arms are made out of completely golden very shiny paper and its hat is made out of two sheets of very shiny paper and a sequin on the top. Sequins are little tiny half a beads with white paper on the bottom so you can glue them on there. When you turn the robot on it goes "beep boop beep boop" and waves its arms up and down, but it's pretend. And put some extra "beep boops" in there.
