I like your optical illusion picture a lot. It looks like it was hard to do and you did a great job! You should check out optical illusion pictures by MC Escher. They were popular as posters in the 70s ( a long time ago).

Hannah, I love it that you selected a lighthouse as a symbol of your summer vacation. After all, we saw them on the Outer Banks in North Carolina as well as Cana Island and Peninsula State Park in Door County. I'm guessing you saw one near your happy place in Michigan too. Whenever I see a lighthouse I always try to imagine what it must have been like for the families that lived in or near one. It must have been lonely but it was a job that saved many lives.

Hi Hannah, I think your picture of the Notre Dame Cathedral is a fine combination of shapes and colors. The background colors are a lovely contrast to the strong lines in the building. I do hope that you and your family get to visit the cathedral someday. It was so sad that the original one incurred a lot of damage from that big fire a few years ago but the new one is sure to be spectacular.

Hannah, I love your pagoda! I can tell you worked hard on it. The sky is beautiful and reminds me of a sunrise.

Hannah, I love the dreamy colors in the sky. They are so bright and happy just like you. It would be amazing if you and your family to see the real pagodas in Southeast Asia someday. I decided to do a little research and learned that most pagodas are found in Nepal, China, Japan, Korea, Myanmar and Viet Nam. Thanks to you, I learned something new today!

I love your vision! When I saw this painting of the pumpkins I was wondering if it was inspired by our annual visits to see the Night of 1000 Jack 'O Lanterns at the Botanic Garden. I thought of that because of the dark skies above the pumpkins. I love that event as it is very creative, just like YOU!
