Dear Elly, I take it you would like to continue wearing masks. I am looking forward to seeing all of your beautiful face again. I am sure other people are also liking seeing your smile. Have fun at your upcoming camp week which I hear will not be interrupted with phone calls and texts. Enjoy! Love Grandpa and Grandma

Elly, Your mom said you got this assignment by the luck of the draw. It was very creative of you to choose music for the theme. Why am I not surprised??!! I will have your Mom order a print for us. Love to our talented GRANDdaughter. XOXO

Elli, Your new artwork is interesting and intriguing. I would like to know the complete wording on the sign. Also, some of your intended reflections as instructed in the assignment. You are indeed an artist! Love, Grandma Artis

Elly, This young lady needs a name. How about Precious, Marvel, Gloria, Beauty, Luvable, Sweetness, Adora, Glamma. Oh, now I am getting crazy! Let's go back to Precious, like you are. Love your art work. I can see many avenues for you in the future, artist, musician, designer, teacher, engineer. Wishing you the best of everything in what ever path you chose, even to the moon and back. Love you so much, Grandma Aasen

Elly, I am so anxious to talk with you about your latest very interesting artwork. I have looked at it several times and am wondering if my interpretation matches your intention. I like your color choices and also the depth of the center of the work. Will call you soon. Love, Grandma

Wow! You have a very keen eye for body proportion and positioning to say nothing of your design talent for the project! I am truly impressed!

Even more than those expressive eyes, I love the impish 'almost a grin' on your subject's face. That's what catches me first, but I also like the upside down flower bud ready to bloom appearance of the skirt part of her dress. There's a level of anticipation just from the choice you made to design it that way. That brings me back to this over and over. I really like it.

You did something here I've never been able to do and I love the way you did it. What gets me here are the black and white checkerboard patterns that show perspective at different angles giving depth to your picture. And I just want to see what's in the room on the right that has the picture of two people. Catching my curiosity attracts me to your art every time and you're good at putting things into your artwork that does that.

This is my favorite so far. I just can't get enough of that dog outside Bob's. The tilt of the head, the perfectly placed shadow that even shows the ear.. I've seen so many dogs in just that curious pose. And loving the dog translates into loving the picture he's in. So great!

Each of your pieces has something that just fascinates me. In this picture, I just love the eyes! You gave them depth into the face the way eyes are on a face. That depth makes me feel an attachment to your little skier. It makes me like him alot. And when I feel something like that it makes me want to explore everything else about this picture because I like it.

Elly, your artwork is very creative. Now I am wondering how the project title "Not A Stick" gave you the idea for your drawing. Let me know or maybe wait until I see you Easter weekend. I hope your next picture shows springtime!

Elly, this piece of artwork fascinates me. Your concept of illustrating depth is very good. I feel invited to walk down this hallway and view the painting on the far end. Well done!

I am so proud of our granddaughter's artwork. I recognized her love of early coloring, choosing pleasing colors, and on to creating interesting doodles and drawings, and now achieving creative projects in different mediums and formats. This Goggle creation is one of my favorites I expect to receive a Google magnet for Mother's Day, Elly, so I am reminded of you every time I open the fridge!
