Dear Sofia, This artwork is from the 3rd Perspective Project. How challenging! I had to look up the definition as I was not familiar with this expression in art. Fascinating. I love the colors especially the various colors of blue. I notice the vertical and horizontal lines. Love that the sun in shining, boats are out on the water and birds flying overhead! Very creative. Pop Pop and I absolutely love this artwork!! The shapes, the use of the primary colors -- especially red which is my favorite! I also love the black lines that run diagonally and vertically throughout! I understand you used popsicle sticks dipped in black paint to print the lines -- just like Mondrian! How wonderful that you are learning about the artist Piet Mondrian in First Grade! Maybe we can go to an art museum one day and look at his artwork! I think that would be fun! Love, Nana and Pop Pop
