I was curious what "cubist style" was? I learned that cubism involves different ways of seeing, or perceiving, the world around. When artists use this style to create a piece they do not see an object from one angle or perspective, but rather from many angles. I can see you accomplished that; especially the guitar!!

I always learn from your artwork Jaxon!! I looked up what ledger art is and read about the Native American Artist Donald Montileaux. When looking at some of his work I saw he used very interesting backgrounds. The background you used is definitely interesting:-) I read that one of the main colors Montileaux uses is red. I see you also choose that color, good job!! I can pick out Mickey & Griffin.

Super Excited!!! I get to see all the amazing artwork again and learn about the techniques:-) Who knew shoes could be so interesting!! I looked up what "drawing with observation" is. I learned there are several ways artist use to perfect this skill. Did you use any of these... Closing one eye?? Cut a square or rectangle out of a card-stock and use this as a tool to help make compositional choices?? Did you walk around the shoe to decide the best shading & light?? How did you decide what part of the shoe to draw?? Great Job Jaxon!!!

Jaxon I Love, Love, Love this piece its the colors of the rainbow :-) I can see how the colors move around the circle and make the color between. Blue & red make all those beautiful violet/purple hues; so cool!!

Love the name of this piece "Picasso Your Pet". Did not know for sure which pet you would choose; but it looks like Xena to me. Your art always makes me curious so I google to learn more. This time I learned... Picasso used the visual art style of cubism. Cubism brought different views of subjects together in the same picture that then showed paintings to appear fragmented and abstracted. Your painting shows the use of cubism!! I am always so excited to see new art from you Jaxon because it is going to be awesome, impressive & I'm going to learn something new!!

My little artist - you captured the Statue of Liberty from the torch she raises up high, to the large dress with fold, down to the tablet she holds. Of course you can't miss the color green... Do you know why she is green? The Statue of Liberty is made of copper and the green coloring is a result from effects of weather conditions.

Jaxson you really had me stumped on this piece because I had no idea who or what kind of art was Rousseau. Now I understand that you had to imagine a place other than where you live. So I see a Lion in the Jungle. When I looked up Rousseau I found a framed painting print 'The Tabby' by Henri Rousseau that sold for $274.00. I know yours will sell for money someday :-)

I really enjoyed this piece of art. Some the best artist in world want you to lock eyes on a painting and use your imagination to find little details in the painting. When I looked at the painting what caught my eye first was the brown part. I thought it looked like a fish head (I thought that was pretty funny) then I thought it ways a sail boat. I see a cloud w/ its refection on the water. Two of black things in background look like Orca Whales swimming in the ocean. Awesome job!!!

Your project of "Line Variety" is totally cool!!! Jaxon - I am so excited to see your artwork again!!! It always makes me smile :-) For first project this year very interesting shapes. Lime green really jumps out at me... the top lime green reminds me of a bandade, the blue shape at the bottom like a house. The next thing I see is next to house - that lime green piece looks like someone was hungry and ate a chunck out of it. It wasn't you was it ;-) It is so much fun to look at this piece of artwork and imagine what the different shapes might be!!!
