Kat - If I'm not mistaken, this is the artwork that won a prize. And so it should. The banner says it all - forest of wonder. I love the colors and the robot crunching through the leaves (in sunglasses, no less!). Or he could be seen as floating down a stream of leaves. Every inch of the page is filled with vibrant hues of red, yellow, orange and brown, blended into an interesting texture. Fall foliage with an interesting twist. Nicely done! Love, Grammy -- Grammy

Hi Kat - This piece reminds me of the wicked witch of the east in the Wizard of Oz after Dorothy throws water on her - "you cursed brat, I'm melting, help me, I'm melting!!!". But of course the witch did not have a red beard, and her face was lime green, so this must really be a garden gnome! Too cute to scare anybody, too ugly to be charming. It will just disappear into the garden, or maybe travel around the world like the more famous gnomes. Love, Grammy -- Grammy

Hello Kat - I went to the Guggenheim Museum in New York City last fall, and saw a piece of art similar to this one. It was by Hilma af Klint, a female artist from Sweden. I like how your birds appear to be one mythic creature, represented by two sides. It's like the yin-yang of birds! One, with a flaming red eye, looks like he's angry and formidable. The white side looks soft and peaceful. It reminds me that we all have many sides to our personalities, often in conflict with one another. Very intriguing work! Love, Grammy -- Grammy

Hello Kat - this one looks like it might be 3-D, although I can't tell by seeing it on my computer. I like the little figure balancing on the pony - he? she? looks like she's doing a hula hoop while riding. Very cool! The pony looks happy, clip-clopping along with her mane and tale in motion. The color selection here is interesting, too - a white pony with light blue highlights and cobalt blue mane and tail. All on a brownish-rust background, like the ground and sky are almost the same color, or maybe it is night time? Unique! Love, Grammy -- Grammy

Kata, i simply love your work. When i first saw it, i knew you had done the face of a lion with a multicolored mane. I will treasure it because that is my zodiac symbol. We Leos know how to recognize true art when we see it. Keep on expressing yourself through your art. Love grandpa. -- Julio

Hi Katalina I'm happy that you are back on the Artsonia website again! I enjoy looking at your art. This piece is interesting - almost like a cake that you have decorated. I can also envision an animal peering through the foliage. As usual, wonderful colors! Love, Grammy -- Grammy
