Is it a simplification of Mondrain or a sophistication of Rothko? Either way, you have turned them on their side and created something more vibrant with more movement. The starker white lines against the casually handled fields of color create vibration in the transitions that seemingly ring as different notes while the eye moves into the canvas at the center of the composition. The three-dimensional movement facilitated by the vignette of the colors and the cross-hatching of the strokes. Your subject, not at a thing in this world but symmetry meeting feeling and movement. In other words – pretty cool! You totally shredded this assignment. -- Dad
