Your weaving looks great…and quite complicated. No wonder you found that the hardest part. Well done for persevering and completing a really fascinating piece of art.

I can see why you liked doing the patterns Oliver. They are fantastic! I love the colours you have used too. It is a great piece of art to enjoy looking at.

Your antlers are a great shape. You were clever to be able to make them look so real. It does really look very reindeery.

This awesome Ollie! That blue background! I can see why that was the hardest part - it looks so great. well done!

Working with clay sounds like it was really tricky and a bit frustrating. It must have been hard when it was falling to pieces. I think the colours are really interesting. It sounds like you tried hard to make the snail you were imagining. I hope you were happy with your clay animal when it was finished.

I like the way you spray painted the background too. As usual the colours you choose are great. I’m impressed that you can make so many different shapes look 3 dimensional. Maybe it’s all the practice you’ve had with ‘Golden Circle’!

I agree Oliver! I love the seagull that is flying! I think this is a great picture and I especially like the deep blue of the sky. Your seagulls all have great character.
Posted 2 years ago by Kez
Outstanding Oliver. Love it. I bet when you're around the seagulls don't get too many chips!!!

I agree with you Oliver! I think your dragon eye does look very natural and very amazing. It’s clever how even though it is such a small part of a dragon’s head you have made it so I could have guessed it was either a dragon or some sort of reptile. I love the eye lashes and your use of orange!

Wow Oliver! I can see why you are proud of your origami. It does look like it would be difficult to do the folds. It must have taken a lot of patience and care. I think the colours you chose are great. Kez

I can see why you are proud of trying something new. This is a very thought provoking piece which is what good art is supposed to be. The way you made it look three dimensional is very clever.

Great work Oliver You are progressing so well with your art.

I can see why you liked smudging the chalk. It does look really cool. You have made the Christmas lights look as if they are really glowing in the night. Well done Oliver. I like the effect too.

You always use such fantastic colours Oliver. This looks like a pretty tricky piece to sculpt but it is very interesting. Like you I love the design on the plastic paper.

Brilliant colours Oliver. They match the feeling of joy very well.

I agree Oliver. I think you made your map look burnt very well. I also liked your compass. You’ve also made it look like the sort of map that would be used for an exciting adventure.

What a great picture! The monkey’s face you have painted made me laugh. The way you have made it look so expressive is very clever.
Posted 3 years ago by Kerrie
I do like your bird Oliver as he flies through a sunny sky. Well done on putting him in the corner as if he is just flying into view. We spoke about your use of dots in the aboriginal style. I think it’s great that you are learning about indigenous art and then having a try yourself.

You’re right Oliver. You have used the clay well enough for your ice cream to look real enough to eat! The melting drips help make it look real too. I wonder what flavours your ice cream might be.

I like the colours you chose for this too. Your noodles look very noodly. Kerrie

I really admire your artwork Oliver. It is so creative. Well done.

I see you say your favourite part of making this picture was doing the background but I really love your tree as well. You have used leaves that show many of the shades of autumn. Do you remember all the autumn leaves at my place? Sometimes you collected special ones for me to keep. This picture reminds me of that.

Oliver I think you should be proud of using an egg carton to make a face. I also like the way you have made the hair. I hope your teacher was pleased with her teacher appreciation project.

Oliver I think you are right to be proud of your bug. I really like the shape and the colours. You are always so very good at using AMAZING colours.

This looks very complicated. Perhaps one day you can tell me how you made this beautiful design. It looks a bit like what you can see in a kaleidoscope. The colours are very special.

A donut is usually sweet and soft and yummy but you have been clever enough to make a donut look scary and tough and yucky. I love how you have used your imagination to make something I would normally want to gobble up into something that looks like it wants to gobble up me.

Oliver Knowing how much you dislike broccoli, I am not surprised that it has an angry face. Very funny. I love it.

Oliver, I can see why your favourite part of this art is the colours. They’re so bright! I love them too. I also love the shapes of your sandpaper dunes.

I agree Oliver that your colours are fabulous. I have just started doing some colouring myself and your results are mucg better than mine. Keep up the good work

I think you should be very proud of your hot dog drawing too. It was clever to use a ‘hot’ colour like red. I really like the uvula hanging down in the back of your hot dog’s throat, the shape of its tongue and those amazing pointy teeth. All those details make your bring your hot dog to life. Well done Oliver.

Oliver I think you are right to be proud of your colours. They’re fantastic! Also you have created a very cute character. Even though it is just a picture the subject has lots of personality.

I love your Pegasus Oliver! Did you know Pegasus is in the book ‘Greek Mythology’ that you sometimes read at my place? I think the way you have made the wings look textured is very clever. I like his eyes and nostrils too.
Posted 4 years ago by Kez
I want to ride him!!!! Those wings coming right off the page are amazing!! Very awesome Ollie

How did you make those lines so straight Ollie!!!?? And I agree with you, the way you have done the background really makes the whole picture look 3D! I’m so impressed!

Oliver That is amazing. I can't even use scissors. I had to cut out an elephant once and it looked terrible so I kept cutting until it was right. Only problem was it looked like a mouse by the time I had finished. I just love your artwork.

I love your Splat the Cat Oliver! He has a great facial expression. He looks a little bit stunned. I can see why you are pleased with your cutting out. I was very happy to see your cat. It made me smile.

I can see why you would be proud of your Roman soldier drawing. I think the colours are great. I think the way you drew details like the folds in his robe, the plume on his helmet and the ties on his sandals was especially clever.
Posted 5 years ago by Kerrie
Oliver I have no idea how you have created this artwork but it is very impressive. I love seeing the progress you are making with the arts.
Posted 5 years ago by Grandpa Mick
Oliver I love your picture because it’s so colourful too. But I also love it because it is a bird! It has parrot colours. I especially like the dots on the wings and chest. I think you are very clever with the way you use colours. Love, Kez

Wow Oliver I am just amazed at how great your art is. You are very talented.

Oliver I really like the bright colours in this picture and of course the flower shape. I also like the spots and wavy lines. The colours all go together very well. I recognise some of them from your colour wheel. I hope you enjoyed making this picture as much as I enjoyed looking at it. Love, Kez

Oliver What a great pig. I like the idea that the pig who built the brick house had a moustache.

Oliver I love your koala, especially how you have used a special way to make him look furry. I also like how you have put in part of a tree peeking in the corner. I hope you really enjoyed painting this picture.

Oliver this picture reminds me of Bella and Scout. The nose and mouth also remind me of my old teddy that you take to bed at my place sometimes when you have forgotten to pack your pilot teddy. I especially like the colours you used in the splodgy background. It’s very clever of you to use blue and yellow because they go together especially well. I went to a very famous fashion designer’s house once when I was in a country called Morocco. His name was Yves St.Laurent. He painted his house very bright blue and had very bright yellow curtains. He also painted the pots in his garden bright blue and yelliow. I am so pleased I saw your picture today. It made me happy.

Oliver how I love your picture to do with Where the Wild Things Are. I think you have used really beautiful colours. They remind me of the all the colours I see in the sky when the sun sets and rises. I also think the shapes you have drawn are very interesting. I hope you enjoyed making this special picture because I really enjoy looking at it.
