You did a awesome job! I really enjoy how you did the shading and ESPECIALLY the highlights. It looks juicy and you did a great job expressing that. It’s so cool to see one of my friends make such a cool piece of art!

Hey cali, I can’t believe how far you have come since elementary school. Your use of shadows and the glistening of the fruit is amazing, the way the single stem comes out of the already cut fruit makes it still look as if it’s alive. Your use of warm colors for the upper part if the painting which is contrasted with the bottom half which is more cool colors is really cool.

I think that the colors and shading on this piece is extremely impressive especially for a 9th grader, along with your extremely well thought-out artists statement I love this. I think that the depth and life in this is mesmerizing and it lwky pulls me in. The shading, especially underneath the fruits, is really well done and makes everything look very 3d. Overall an extremely well done and well thought out piece, you can tell you understand the objects in a 3 dimensional space the way the lighting comes from the same place and shadows fall in the same direction too. I love it. It’s almost melancholy in a sweet way, very calm and serene. please keep it up I think you will be able to do great things, can’t wait to see things you make in the future. I’m rooting for you! Happy Holidays!
