This is a most delightful Fairy Garden! I love that every element is made of all natural items and provides a variety of texture, color and balance of the image in the composition. This is overall very visually pleasing to the eye and imagination!

It was so interesting to read Maya's artistic self-evaluation of the process and product. Faces are extremely difficult, and I think especially when it is someone you know. However, in Maya's work, she actually used what she knows of her mom to create the expression in her eyes and the lightness of her smile. Maya captured her mother's love, care, and peace. Maya's description of her technique also informed me about how to create more value in a drawing. This is a beautiful piece!!!

I love this! The music flowing without a definite source...the perfect golden hue of the background, the light lavender ray below the music, the barren tree and rocky foreground.... it all works well to convey a sense of hope.

Seeing the original clock structure, this interpretation by Maya is all the more clever! The use of yellow items and the gilded pages of the book leaves on the left represent the gold of the original. Adding the trophy to represent the significant statues is a clever touch. The books Maya chose are even more effective in being upside down and in their content, which represents the current cultural values.

This piece clever and engaging. The dance of scissors might become a "thing." :-) I can see the potential for adding new partners to the dance. The medium poses a lot of challenges, I am sure. It is evident that Maya has given all the perseverance, problem-solving, and artistic choices to create this delightful dance.

I love this piece, Maya. It exudes happiness! The color choices really are fanciful. This would be a lovely quilt block, maybe the same maple leaf in a variety of similar colors or contrasting colors?

Wow! This is a striking image. It Makes me think of an Earth Day Flag (or poster, or stamp). Very finely crafted, too.

Maya - I like the colors you chose - pastel and a section of grey. Gives the impression of a sunset and fall foliage at the same time.

Great sense of balance, order, and contrast with a bit of whimsy.

This woven tree is like a Japanese fan! It gives strong order to an indistinct, soft background.

This tree is lit like a menorah! The moments between fading light and coming shadows is so beautiful here!

A great study in what a rose actually is rather than what it symbolizes!

There is nothing more insightful than drawing one's own eye! Mysterious!

The deep dark eyes of this creature draw me in. I feel the longing of every creature (raccoon, deer, rabbit, dog, mouse...) to be understood. There is a strong contrast between stark black eyes, nose, and ears and the wispy lines of a body in motion. This has an interesting effect: there seems to be a keen alertness of sight (eye), smell (nose), and hearing (ears) while the quivering, vague sense in the body seems in conflict about whether to freeze, flee, or fight.

I am so drawn to this image. There is a wildness (the outer edges of the red leaves flying in the wind) and a calm at the center, heart-shaped. I like the white trunk and branches - smooth and limber. The sense of a breeze is evident in both sky and grass. It is the broken/open heart at the center that keeps my eye.

Sea shell shark....this gives me both a feeling of gentleness and alertness/wariness. I hear the sea and all its mystery.

This is a striking image! The black tree at first struck me as an electrical storm with the bright rays of color extending from its tendrils. A very unique image!
