I can see your hand in this one and I love that. Even though you used many colors you were able to keep this painting from becoming muddy. It’s a lovely painting.

I can see that this composition is all about the story. You tell us who, what’s happening and where. I’m with that kitty. I’m hungry for shrimps and crab too. This must have been a monochromatic color scheme challenge. It had to be the reds and pinks! Keep making art, dear Amelia.

I clearly see that this is a self portrait. It’s one of my personal favorites of your work so far. Great detail in the eyes especially. To me leaving out the nose was a good idea. It would have distracted from the eyes, perfect mouth and cheeks. I’m proud of you!

Great use of line in this drawing. The vase reminds me of agates. I wonder if Amelia sees the connection. The way that she uses variation in value (darker and lighter shades) makes this so much more interesting to me. Keep going girl!

I love the texture that Amelia created with the oil crayon on the fur. Also, the eye is so realistic! This artist knows her subject matter. I can see some highlights in the eye too. Nice touch that makes it look alive.
