I like the pose!! Do you enjoy doing white on black? Keep looking and taking your time. You have a nice feeling in every drawing. Work out the details!

Finely done, Luke! Looks like you took a picture of Rev, and kept the negative. Your style is developing with each new work. I really like this one!

Nice dog. I am reading a book again now that has a very friendly dog in it called, Barnabas. This dog reminds me of Barnabas. Barnabas likes to hear scriptures read!

Very nice Luke. The rhino is kind of hidden in the darkness but there is no doubt he is there. He is really eyeing his approaching visitors. The color mix is great!

Love the feeling you were able to capture in this night scene, Luke! Rhino is finally going home after a long afternoon of play. I think he will be glad to get there! You're sketching made him come alive.

Yes, he looks like he is about to charge at something or someone, fortunately not at me! Good job with creating that sense of movement.

This one is cool, Luke! The way you did the lines, it looks like the rhino is in motion and is in the process of lowering his head!

Luke, this is wonderful! This made me think of my childhood because we see deer like this on my dad's land and on my grandparents' farm. Excellent work!

Oh Luke! You’re using your photographer’s eye! Your deer looks like he is as much interested in you as you are in him! You made him come alive on a two dimensional plane! Perhaps you will see one like him this summer!

Hey! I love the Mountain Background behind the deer that creates depth. It makes a great backdrop for the white antlers and sets off his head in that alert position. Nice variation of strokes.

Luke - This looks like a sketch you might see in one of Leonardo da Vinci's notebooks. It shows details of the bird and surrounding objects. He was very curious like you.

Luke! I like this one very much. Your faces always have such a feeling of life and personality. I can't put my finger on it, but I like every one you do. I like the space around her and above her - it adds a nice feeling. I also like her dark eyes. Charcoal is difficult. This is nice for your first attempt. Watch the darkness on either side of the nose - keep it so it looks like shadow - not to sharp... You can use a stomp to blend charcoal too. Keep it up! Where is your smiling boy?- prize if you finish!

The skull really looks like it's resting on the table- nice angle and shadow underneath help this. Nice darks too! Probably the lines on the table need to point toward a single vanishing point- this would give you more 3D feel. The shadow cast on the wall is in a good position- good observation. If you keep your strokes smoother and running the same direction- the shadow will be more flattened. Proud of you! The old skull is not easy. Some of the kids in my class at college did a cow skull, and it drove some of them crazy! ( ;
