This is so beautiful Hannah!! I really like the design and colors and the story behind it! I could see this design being used as wrapping paper, wallpaper, napkins, cards etc. Very nice!

Wow! That was a big project! You dug deep, so deep that it even hurt. Tear drops, school fatigue, Sandy, friends and horses, all things - sad and glad - have a place in the beautiful blue box that is your life. I like the cross in the center of everything. I guess you placed it there on purpose. Using clay as the material has also symbolic meaning; it is pliable but also breakable. I once came across an 'art class' where people brought vases or plates that had been broken and they mended them with a golden adhesive. The items became whole and useful again but clearly put together of broken pieces, with a shimmer of gold.

Very fascinating Hannah! Well done for thinking outside the box as you created your art!

I've been studying your works "Deconstructed Object" and "A sea of Memories". Your thoughts are deep, and your way of expressing them by specific objects is imposing. You're an artist, Hannah, with much to contribute!
Posted 10 months ago by Ellen
That's a really amazing piece of art! I am still trying to figure out how it is all fitted together; lots of popsicle sticks, triangels and 3-diamentional thinking! And the result: a Haunted House! Very imaginative!

Very creative Hannah! :) I like how the horse is looking back on itself and then how the tail is swinging out. Well done!
Posted 2 years ago by Carolyn
Beautiful flowers! It is like the sun is shining right into the flowers and the dark green background highlights them even more. Well done!
Posted 2 years ago by Mummu
Great picture! Portraits are not easy, but you have captured your friend's contemplative mood very well. I also love the rose and two butterflies on the background.

What a speed filled image! Beautiful! Love the different shades of green on the lovely horses!
Posted 2 years ago by Kristin
This is a very fascinating piece of artwork! I’m sure you enjoyed doing it! I it’s almost like I can hear the sound of the horses rushing past, with the wind blowing through their mane. I like the way you’ve used different shades of green with the lighter colored ones sticking out in your art work. Well done!
Posted 2 years ago by Carolyn
Fantastic art, once again Hannah! :) Beautiful shades of purple.

You have placed the squirrel's eye in the middle of your picture, using the contrast of colour/black-white. Smart - and beautiful!

Wow, so well done! Squirrels are so cute and your hard work has really turned out well.

Ekornet ser på maten, og mitt blikk går først til øyet til ekornet. Flott virkning av farger/svart-hvitt, Hannah! Og dyr og planter har fanget din interesse; du er flink til å uttrykke deg i bildene dine!

When I first saw your art in the e-mail, I honestly thought the scissors were included in the drawing from a photo in some smart way; that is really fascinating and impressing, Hannah ??. The color combinations are really appealing.
Posted 3 years ago by Tante Synnøve
Du er virkelig en kunstner, Hannah! Du har lært deg å bruke teknikker som gir flotte resultater - også denne gangen.

You have got a lot of colors and shapes into you interpretation of “Snax in the nature”. Well done! It’s amazing what inspiration Dr Seuss can be! But the creativity was definitely your. I especially like the little tree, bending backwards!

Pretty scary monster! The green tounge is extra disgusting. Not sure which eye to look into, hmm. I see you have made a good effort and you succeeded in making a monster

Very good, Hannah! You have really captured well your mother's features and personality. You have a good artistic eye! And as to the wrinkles, I think they are quite appropriate; all good mothers have wrinkles as they have so many things to think about.
Posted 3 years ago by Mummu
Hannah, you're a real artist! Inspired and skilful, have learned to use different techniques, and the result is a picture of a wonderful mom. Use your talent!
Posted 3 years ago by Ellen
I'm very impressed Hannah! It is no doubt about who you have drawn a portrait of. I agree with you that you made the eyes really well. Beautiful and like the real eyes. Shading also very good! About the wrinkles: maybe its a futuristic portrait of what your mum will look like when she becomes a grandmother?
Posted 3 years ago by Kristin
Your horse is so beautiful Hannah! I'm amazed! I agree that zentangles is a great way of doing artwork.
Posted 3 years ago by Kristin
Hi Hannah! That is a beautiful horse! You draw very well. But that's not all, the patterns give an extra strong impression and underlines the idea that your horse is 'at home' in its stables. Well done. I am also glad that you learn new art forms, like zentangles.
Posted 3 years ago by Mummu
Hi Hannah! Great work! Your first printing job! You are following in the footsteps of Grandpa, although I don't think he ever carved tiles! It must have been interesting to learn the various steps it takes to create a picture like this. The horse looks beautiful and I love the owl which is representing wisdom and learning.
Posted 3 years ago by Mummu
Another beautiful work of art, Hannah (...and another horse)! The zentangle technique demands concentration and imagintion, which you show here. Hurrah for Hannah the ARTIST!
Posted 3 years ago by Ellen
How fascinating that you carved in a tile and learned about the process of printmaking! Your horse looks like a young one ready to explore the world... just like you! I'm happy to hear you enjoy horses and have started to ride them. :)
Posted 3 years ago by Carolyn
You're a real artist, Hannah! And the result is beautiful; you had to spend time, pacience, and artistic thought and technique, and so we can see your dream!
Posted 3 years ago by Ellen
Wow Hannah! I agree that you have done a really good job with the horse. The owl and it's inquisitive mitigate are also really well done! The stars in the sky are beautiful too. A lot of work involved and you did it well ??

I like the bright colours of the fruit and the background. You keep on learning a lot of new things.

Great work Hannah! Can see you put an effort into making the fruit look round (not flat) by having a different lighter colour on one side of the fruits
Posted 6 years ago by Kristin
I think this poor bird missed the tour group to the south. But it’s OK! We haven’t even got snow yet.
Posted 6 years ago by Mormor
This looks great! A facinating way to create something beautiful. Can one cut and tie the strings and use it as a hot mat?
Posted 6 years ago by Mormor
