What a lovely pine forest. I bet one can be cooled and feel calmed walking through this forest.

WOW! What a lovely drawing. It looks like the woods where I went to Girl Scout camp decades ago. I would really like to walk through your woods.

Hazel, this is so good! You got the curve of the trunks so well, especially the 2nd one from the left. Cool values on the shaded side, warm on the bright side, it really shows the roundness of the trunk. And the far left tree, the shag-bark look is awesome. Really nice slice of the forest... welcoming and calming. I love it!

Is this purple flower a mum? Mums are nice fall flowers. I have seen ones that are maroon, or orange or yellow. I have now seen a lovely purple one!

This young girl looks like she is flying up the hill. I like the wind ruffling her hair as she flies, and the roughness of the vegetation on the hillside is interesting, especially the llittle flowers.

What a lot of interesting things in your time capsule. I see some leaves, a moon and stars, a girl earing a cat-ears head band. Do you have plans for opening it some day when you are older?

I always look forward to what you have been learning in your art class. Your hands are quite good, Perhaps ou cn teach me to draw my hands the next time you visit.

Hazel, this is extremely good! You're seeing more than ever in a subject and putting it down with great accuracy and proportion! AND it's your "Hazel flair" that brings the personality into it:) I LOVE this. I wish I could show it to our Linxy, right????

What a cute pumpkin! I especially like the leaves you made. They look like they have veins like leaves actually do. I bet you didn't know that my Dad's nickname for me when I was a little girl was "Pumpkin."

I like the various ways you incorporated red, white and blue into your drawing. And the shading on the neck is quite good. You must be a budding artist!

I like this three-dimensional drawing. The perspective is quite good. To me, this looks like an upside-down world, with the moon and stars in the basement and trees and a cabin above. I wonder if the people and pets in this house are also upside-down. If I stopped by to visit, would I also be upside-down?

What bright colors in your origami project! I am intrigued with the folds Maybe you can show me how you did this when you visit.

This color wheel makes me smile. I really like the interesting names you chose for your kitties. I think I might relish RELISH. I also might find JALAPENO to be a hot one!

That's a tall mountain! I see lots of trees and brown patches without trees. Were there rockslides in the past? I see two faces near the bottom of two sides. I think this Old Man of The Mountain is friendly. Maybe we'll find him one day here in Pennsyvania.

Hazel, you really did capture that style of Greek symmetry, elegance, in a utilitarian object. And doing it on Styrofoam worked so well, it looks old. Wow! This is truly GREAT!

I love how you printed your name like you would have if you had lived in Ancient Greece. It is literally "Greek to me."

Hazel, this is an excellent pastiche of Mondrian's series of trees! I know how much you appreciate trees, and it shows in this drawing. The extra element that speaks to me, is how you portrayed the sky background, because at this time we are in an active period of the 11 year cycle for the aurora borealis! It's perfect how you left the stars visible because that's what happens! Also the contrast of the dark silhouette of the tree, against the bright colorful joy of the night sky! This is simply beautiful! Mondrian would be very pleased! I sure am!

What an interesting tree! I see two blue eyes staring at me through the branches. The crescent moon could be a sideways smile. The contrast between the black tree and the colorful background is quite attention-grabbing.

Who do you think was buried in that awesome sarcophagus? I bet it was a famous Egyptian King or Queen!

WOW! I can really see the perspective as the pumpkins become smaller and smaller. Wonderful job!!

I see Noki's eyebrows on the H The face on the A looks like is is shouting or yawning. I see some eyes on the Z and E, making them look like little animals, Is that a beret that the L is wearing?. I wonder what my name would look like, if it had some eyes!

What a colorful animal! It looks like he is smiling, so I'll bet he is friendly!
Posted 5 years ago by Beth
What a lot of interesting shapes. I see an empty ice cream cone and a rainbow, and a spiral-y sea shell...so far! The shapes could also be animals or a map showing countries in another part of the world.
Posted 5 years ago by Beth
BRAVO! I can imagine all sort of interesting things in your picture. Are they animals? Or are they perhaps a map showing foreign countries?

This is really cool! I love the color balance across the painting. ??

That animal has very long legs, and I bet he hears his prey coming with those large ears. I plan to just watch him quietly from afar, in case he is hungry!

I taught your Mama to weave potholders when she was a little girl, but I don't think we ever thought to weave paper! Those bright colors make me feel happy on an overcast afternoon.

Are these falling leaves? We don't have leaves like these in Pennsylvania! Perhaps if I plant a Wisconsin tree here, it will have the same pretty leaves.

I really like this mirror image! I am now sitting here wondering about how you created it. Maybe you can show me sometime.

This reminds me of the goldfish your Mama used to win by tossing ping pong balls into fish bowls at the local County Fair when she and I visited her grandparents here in Pennsylvania. Those were very happy times...but probably not happy times for the fish!
