A happy little bluebird welcoming Spring. I'm missing our nature walks, identifying birds and plants. Perhaps this summer we can spend time on Lookout Mtn were there are lots of bluebirds in the Ponderosa Pines. Wildflowers, too.

I can imagine you sipping your hot chocolate after a morning of skiing. Nice drawing and so appropriate for Colorado.

Ashley: I like your color choice for this geometric design. Thanks for explaining that the small decorative marks represent the whiskers, nose, and ears of kitties. Very innovative. Keep up the good work!

This is a lovely whimsical painting. I like your use of stripes to suggest the ocean (cool blues and greens) and sand (warm yellows and orange). Clearly, you are missing the beach! I hope you don't encounter that shark when you are out in the water.

This is an interesting piece, Ashley. I see a swimmer trying to reach the surface where the sunlight is reflecting yellow white on the water. I'm reading a story in this. Could the swimmer represent all of us who are trying to escape from the Covid lockdowns? Regardless of your intent, I really like the painting.

This is such a joyful painting with the intense colors and simple shapes. Your heart appears to be beating out exclamation points. I'd like to see the whole piece. Be sure to bring it home from school.

I'm always a fan of your art, Ashley. This mixed media piece is a joyful splash of color with whimsical cutouts atop the rolling hills. The painted sky suggests a timed photograph where the stars and comets leave curved trails. Nice work!!!

Dennis and I have matching coffee mugs with this beautiful painting. Your cat has an attitude: arrogant, self-assured, indifferent. I like the way you've filled the page with many different geometric shapes: ovals, circles, diamonds, triangles. Using primary colors and outlining in black creates an imposing and comical cat. Nice work, Ashley!

Your varigated blue background is electrifying. I like the way you positioned the spider, which is is very well drawn, off center so that the viewer's eye is drawn upward. Limiting your colors (blue, brown and black) was a good choice. This is a really nice painting! Way to go, Ashley.
