Cool project Reese!
Posted 6 years ago by Robin
Well, this is an interesting animal! I love to look at what you do. And I love you.
Posted 6 years ago by Grandma
Reese: This took a lot of thinking and ingenuity. It's like creating a whole new language. It goes to show you how your ancestors must have had to not only come up with a new way to communicate but to get the rest of the people to go along with it. Nice job! Grandpa Fred
Posted 6 years ago by Grandma
Reese, What a cool idea! Have you written anything with your alphabet? I really think the "g" is interesting. I love to see your art projects. And I love you, too. Grandma
Posted 6 years ago by Grandma
That's a pretty cool project Reese. Can you write using your own alphabet now?!

Reese: I didn't grow up on a farm the way your Grandma did but I lived next door to one. My best friend's father owned the farm and I spent many happy hours playing and working on that farm. Your picture reminds me of those days collecting eggs from the chickens and chasing the sheep around the farm. Thanks for bringing back those memories. Grandpa Moran
Posted 7 years ago by Fred
Hi Reese, I grew up on a farm and your artwork reminds me of it. We had animals, too and lots of tall grass! Love you, Grandma Moran
Posted 7 years ago by Grandma
LOVE IT!

Reese, I really love this geometrical drawing! I love how you turned a rectangle into a monster and had him hiding out! There's a lot of suspense and drama in this piece of art. Very proud of you!

Wow Reese! That is an awesome piece of art. The details are excellent. You even have the little stitches showing on the scarecrows patches. I love it!
Posted 7 years ago by Robin
Reese: Your portrait of a scarecrow is great, and colorful too. It puts me in the Halloween spirit. You're getting to be a super artist. I haven't forgotten that I promised you that I'd teach you how to begin to write in Cursive Form. We just have to spend more time together to get started. Love, Grandpa Moran

At first I thought these were jewels! What a pretty, colorful pattern you did.
Posted 7 years ago by Aunt Robin
I have always like symmetry, Reese, and this is a fine example of that ...
Posted 7 years ago by Kevin (Father)
Your color choices look like jewels, Reese!

Reese: Your picture of Arctic Animals is very good. They are completely comfortable in the Arctic Region where there is snow and cold all year around. But I have to say that I'm glad I don't live there. I don't mind a little snow and a few months of cold weather, but I need a little more sun and warm weather to make me more comfortable. Keep up the good work and enjoy the Springtime which is right around the corner Grandpa
-- Fred
Posted 7 years ago
Reese: Your diorama of arctic animals and their environment is excellent. I think I like my environment better than theirs. I like the snow but not every day all year long. Love,Grandpa

This is a significant piece of art, Reese. I am impressed by the colors of the snail and the sense of scale between the snail and the lady bug versus the tree in the background. It makes me think that we have a close-up view of both creatures!
-- Dad!
Posted 8 years ago
This is a wonderful, colorful drawing. The snail and lady bug are terrific but, because I love trees so much, my favorite part of this drawing is the tree you drew with perfectly done leaves on it!
-- Robin

-- Robin
Posted 9 years ago
Reese: Nicely done. Your shapes and colors are really interesting and related in that the blue are triangles and the pinks are quadrangles. Last but not least comes the circular yellow circle which adds a eye-catching point at which to look. Grandpa Fred
-- Grandpa Fred
Posted 9 years ago
Reese, this is a very sophisticated piece of artwork. The colors and shapes are very interesting to look at and the small yellow dot ends up being the part of the art that the eye goes to. Nicely done! You always work very hard on your art.
-- Dad
Posted 9 years ago
Reese...This is very good. I love the arrangement of the pieces and the colors and shapes you chose. I think I would like to do this type of art work with you some time and you could teach me about it!
-- Robin
Posted 9 years ago
AWESOME Reese!
-- Robin
Posted 9 years ago
Reese: Your shapes are very well drawn. The shapes and the colors show the difference that color and shape can have on a picture. Here's a question that people often overlook. What two things have no shape but can have many shapes? .......Air and water. They have no shape by themselves but usually take the shape of whatever they're in. EX. The air in a balloon is the shape of the balloon. The water in a glass is the shape of the glass. If you break the balloon or the glass the air and the water go back to having no shape. Grandpa Fred
-- Grandpa Fred

I love your choice of colors and the shapes, Reese!

Dear Reese, This is a beautiful artwork. Grandma would be proud.
-- Kevin

Reese: Congratulations on your first action drawing. I see what's going to happen. Poor fly. That's what happens when you don't watch where you're flying. You even put eight legs on the spider. Great. You really drew a story in your picture. Keep up the great work. Grandpa Fred!
-- Grandpa Fred
Posted 9 years ago
The spider might be asking herself, "Hm, does this fly need any salt and pepper?" Very realistic drawing on this, Reese! I love the web and the spider! Keep up the great work.
-- Dad
Posted 9 years ago
Great action sketch. "You're my next meal!" said the spider to the fly. You even put eight legs on the spider. Nice job, Reese.
-- Grandpa Fred

Reese...Your pumpkin is SO festive!!! I love the beautiful shades of orange!
-- Aunt Robin
Posted 9 years ago
Reese: Isn't it amazing to make a new color by using two other colors. Just think, all the other colors in the world are made up of the primary colors in different combinations. You're doing great with your artwork. Keep up the good work. Grandpa Fred
-- Grandpa Fred
Posted 9 years ago
I love the way you used colors to make the pumpkin look real...just like Mother Nature does it! Nice work Reese!
-- Robin
Posted 9 years ago
P.S., I stand corrected on using "orange" because it looks like you created orange using red and yellow. I see you used primary colors -- Green, Blue and Red -- to make your other colors! So very well done!
-- Dad
Posted 9 years ago
Whoa! This pumpkin is quite something, Reese! The black background makes the colors stand out. I love how you combined some orange and yellow to get a true sense of the pumpkin's color! Keep up the fine artwork!!
-- Dad
Posted 9 years ago
Reese...I can tell you follow directions from the teacher very well and you are doing very good work!
-- Robin
Posted 9 years ago
Reese: Looks like you're using color to make your artwork more interesting. That's great. I also see motion in your drawing. That pink ball in the back reminds me of someone sliding down a slippery slide. Maybe the green and blue balls are climbing the ladder getting ready to slide down the slide after the pink ball. Pictures look different to different people, because not everyone sees the same thing in the same picture. Great Job! Grandpa Fred
Posted 9 years ago
Reese, This is a wonderful piece of art and drawing. You followed directions well, and your attention to the lines and the circles are clear and evident. I also do like the colors that were chosen for this piece of art. Keep up the fine work!
-- Dad
Posted 9 years ago
Reese...I am so happy to be able to see the artwork you are doing in school. Your project is very cool!
-- Aunt Robin
Posted 9 years ago
Reese: It's neat how you used two different kinds of art to be in your picture this week, blocks and drawing. Most of the time, the things we see are made from different kinds of materials and we don't even notice. Nice job, Reese! Love, Grandpa Fred
-- Fred
Posted 9 years ago
Reese! I see what you have going on here -- putting together the blocks matching the drawing sketch. Wow. Pretty impressive! I'll look forward to hearing what you thought of your work on this project.
-- Dad

Hi Reese, This one reminds me of a train that could operate on the moon. Love you, Grandma
-- Marilyn
Posted 9 years ago
I see that you're using different things and different colors in your artwork. This is a good sign of things to come. Mixing things in your work will lead to different results. Variety is important in art, because of the different things there are in the world and you never know what will come next in your artwork.
-- Grandpa Fred
Posted 9 years ago
Reese, I like the way you've used different shapes and textures in your artwork this week. It shows me that there is more to come and continued variety of material use. The more you use other materials, the greater variety in the art. Keep up the good work!
-- Grandpa Fred
Posted 9 years ago
Reese, this is very interesting and I hope you will tell me about Alexander Calder and your creation when I see you!

Reese: A very colorful piece of artwork. Keep up the work in your art. You've shown over and again that you have a talent for making things in an artistic way. It'll come in handy in the future, whether it's just for fun or part of your career. Take the talent you've gotten from your parents and enjoy it. Grandpa
