Oh Ava - this made my heart sing! With all the anger going on in America now, it is so wonderful to see something so truly patriotic! I'm so very proud of you!

Ava - I was wondering if you had a dream when you drew this cat? Do you realize I found Tiger Lilly right after you drew this picture? And then the next picture that you drew with the bridge and water lilies came next. Then you named my new kitty Tiger Lilly. Something tells me that you had a feeling we were getting a kitty - and sure enough that happened!

I know I left a comment on this stained glass vase - oh well, that's okay. I'm happy to write another comment. Stained glass is one of my favorite things to look at because no two pieces are exactly the same. You did a beautiful job on this vase and flowers. Can't wait to see more of what you do this year!

My goodness, you are getting big! This is your first artwork for 3rd grade! You promised me you would stay little but you just keep growing! I love you to the moon and back - because I think that's how much you keep growing! Now for your first piece of art this year. This is very interesting. It almost looks like it is a mirror except half is black and white, and the other half is in nice bold colors! You have quite an eye for art, Ava! I find it amazing that you can duplicate both halves of the picture so accurately while still making them totally separate. You paid a lot of attention to all the details! This is great work!

Wow, Ava! This is another really interesting and beautiful art piece. Another big word that I never heard of! Lascaux Cave, which is in France. Did you know that your great-great Grandpa came from France? I wonder if our family members painted the original paintings in the caves? -- Grandma

Wow, Ava! I had to educate myself and find out what Mondrian designs were! You are learning so many new things. I found out that Mondrian designs are made from hand cut acrylic tiles, but you already knew that! You are very smart. This is very beautiful art! -- Grandma
