Hi Adele, Your art was just what I needed today. It's grey and gloomy outside and your cheery picture made me smile. Except the part where the friends dropped their ice cream - that would make me very sad because I loooove ice cream, especially Ben and Jerry's. I enjoy all the detail in your picture - the design on the clothing, the interesting hair styles, and especially the little blue bird flying in the sky. I also didn't miss the Ben and Jerry cow. I like how you always put your heart into your work and make the most of all the space on your paper instead of just putting a little dab of art in the middle and calling it done. Keep on drawing. I hope you enjoy making art as much as I enjoy looking at it. Love you lots, MeMaw

I've been waiting for more of your excellent art. I love that you choose bright colors. I think that matches your personality. I like the detail on the mouths and noses and am wondering what everyone is looking at to the right side of the picture. I'm also curious about the hair color. Did everyone in your family dye their hair blonde or is this a picture of another family? Good work, Adele.

I definitely see depth in your picture. As always, you draw and color awesome figures with lots of detail. I especially like the glasses and hair bow.

Very clever. I could use a robot that cleans up my room. Especially a robot that gives candy.

How did I miss seeing this sassy looking dog? I love the colors and the 3-d pose. Does your blue dog have a name?

I love, love, love this art that you have created. The colors and designs are warm and happy, just like you. I can't believe you did so many different designs, but all in the same colors. Wouldn't this design make a beautiful skirt. And it looks like a colorful quilt like your last piece of art. I can see that you worked carefully and stuck to your project until it was finished. It must have taken quite a while to paint the designs on all those little squares. Hard work pays off.

Adele, I love your paper weaving. I remember doing that when I was a little girl. Your artwork reminds me of a quilt with all the colorful squares. I looks like a happy quilt. I especially like the squares that have two colors in them. Maybe someday we can make a real quilt. Keep on making beautiful art. I love being able to see what you are doing in school.

Adele, I think your picture of a jaguar (or is it a leopard) is awesome! It is especially interesting how you painted him facing forward instead of sideways. It's hard to draw animal legs that are facing forward. I really like the dreamy sky you painted. I love that you are studying about important artists. Did you know that Henri Rousseau liked to paint the beautiful jungle and animals that live there? It seems he especially liked to paint tigers. He loved to paint colorful flowers, ferns, trees, and plants that grew in the jungle. I would love for you to paint a picture of a tiger in the jungle and send it to me in your pen pal letter. I think that when I come to visit we should try to find some paintings by Henri and go to see them in an art museum. Keep on listening and learning. Love, MeMaw

Adele, What colorful artwork! You are getting very good at drawing bodies with all the parts in all the right places. Do you remember when you were in preschool the people you drew had arms and legs coming out of their heads? Now you draw people with real human bodies. I see that the shoes are your favorite color - yellow (that is unless your favorite color has changed). Keep on being colorful. Love, MeMaw

Dellie, I love the bright colors you used, and I like how you filled the whole page with your drawing. It makes your art very interesting. Those big brown eyes look just like yours. I miss you. Love, MeMaw
