I knew at the time that I heard about it that you were going to have a lot of fun with whimsical characters, and I couldn't wait to see it. It's beautiful and fun. Just like you!

Elena, is this TicTac toe pizza? So much fun. It's making me hungry too. I bet you had fun with this. And I can't wait to hear how you made it. You are lucky to be learning, so many new techniques in your art class this year. I wish I had had a class that was so clever. Your work is beautiful.!

There is so much beautiful detail in this piece. It reminds me of Indonesian batik which I love. All the little shapes and the detail with the color and the background looks like it took a lot of attention and especially attention to detail. I think it would be hard to focus on this for a long time. All of these pieces take such great attention to detail. I am impressed. You are learning so much this year. Keep up the good work.!

Oh my goodness. This must've taken so much concentration. I can't wait to see this piece in person. There is so much going on so much detail and perspective. You can actually feel the movement in in this drawing. I like the colors you have chosen to Elena. Beautiful work.!

By the way, I've never learned how to do perspective, and I know that was the point of this assignment, and you did a great job! The shapes are just popping out from their origin. Like fireworks. So much fun!! I'm so sad.

Elena, I love the picture of this turtle! I agree with you, the blue is amazing. And you did such a good job with the colors and the proportion and I loved how you described the techniques you used. I think the eye is just fine. And I feel like I am swimming with him or her, in that beautiful water. :)

Elena, this Halloween house is so fun and shows so much of your whimsical personality! I love the little faces peeking out of the windows and the way they pop with just a little bit of color in your otherwise black and white drawing. I don't know enough about art technique, but I can see that you've used your pen and ink to make different kinds of shading with different kinds of lines and it's fascinating. Your art always seems to have great composition this piece, I specifically like the way you used your marks to draw the viewers eye from the top to the bottom. I love your art is all different. It looks like you are learning lots of good techniques.

I love the beautiful colors you have in this autumn leaf Elena. The shading is beautiful and so natural as are the veins you drew in. This is one of my favorite kinds of leaves to find in the fall and now we have it forever. Thank you for capturing its beauty.

Elena this is a very creative project! I love the detail that you can see inside the window and all the different gingerbread people ?? I will enjoy seeing that snowman up close too. It looks like you used some interesting materials with him. And the idea of baking company is perfect for you! This photo is a little blurry but I can see you added some glitter to show the sparkle of snow which adds to the festive feel of your work! I love this!

Your creativity and attention to detail really shine through on this project! I think it's wonderful and will be a part of our annual holiday decorations for years to come.
