Hi Derek, If you hold a piece of paper over the left side of your tiger drawing he looks happy. If you hold over the right side he looks sad. It's all in the eyes! Kevin

Wow! This really looks like a dragon’s eye! Actually, kinda scary! Did you put a glaze on it to make it so shiny? Good job! Love, Grandma Apple

This picture is so fun. When I first looked at it I thought it was pretty leaves. Then upon looking closer, I saw the real images: porcupine dragons! My favorite is the red critter in the left corner. This picture looks like a lot of work. I really like all the detail. Love, Grandma Apple

As far as grasshoppers go, yours is the best! I would be amazed if I was walking in the back yard and that bug jumped in front of me! Good job Derek, I love your art work! Love you, Grandma Apple

Derek, your bug is so amazing. Soo many colors. He's very long and lean. He can get into many tight places. Keep it up. Love, Grammie

This picture is very interesting and extremely complex! I may be reading too much into it, but it sure brings a lot emotional thoughts to mind. The sky is stormy and angry, but there is light around the guy with the parachute. The city seems to be deteriorating is that due to pollution? I am really interested in what your inspiration for this picture was.

Derek, I absolutely love this picture of what I think looks like a very scary street. It is so perfectly drawn. I especially love the parking garage on the left. Well done. Love, Grammie

Hi Derek, I can't figure out what your subject is in your drawing. Is it a giant armored mechanical vehicle controlled by someone sitting in the cockpit? Whatever it is, you really show a lot of control, shading it in. Pop

Hi Derek, You made an interesting drawing. I see symbols of patriotism, with the Stars & stripes and of a monarchy, with the crown. What does it all mean! Pop

Derek, I love this artwork you did! It reminds me of a 4-patch quilt block. The colors you chose really pop surrounded by the white. The black makes the white pop so this is very appealing to the eye! What else I like is that the white squares are alike but different. Good job! Love, Grandma Apple

Hi Derek, I love your colorful popsicle picture. After the experience with the blue applesauce, I get why the blue popsicle is a little smaller than the other ones. Other than natural blue flavors like real blueberries, blue food tastes artificial. But, look at the lemony yellow and cherry red popsicles... they look delicious with that little vanilla peeking through! I also liked the color choice you used and the designs behind the popsicles. Love, Grandma Apple -- Ardus
