Hi Asher! Look what popped up in my email today! I sure enjoy getting to look at the fun things you create in your Art class. I absolutely LOVE the colors in this picture. All the shades of purple! You did a great job mixing them all up... it looks like a tiled countertop to show off your orange. The colors all look wonderful together. Another amazing picture to me! Keep up the good work!

Wow! This came out great! Nice job, Asher!!! Love the detail on the wings -- the feathers are really cool, both on his back and front side and up on the top of his head. It looks like he's standing there watching over something. I love it!

Hi AJ... what a beautiful winter scene you created! I love that you have a vivid black and white picture with the mountains and the trees, and I did notice you tucked a little house way back by the mountains, but then to have the sky burst into color under that white moon was just awesome. Nice job on this... made me feel like I was looking at the start of a Christmas Tree Farm in the making!

Hi Asher! Looks like your art class is getting ready for the holidays with these beautiful candy cane shapes! I love that you outlined them with lots of different colors. It's like a candy cane rainbow! You did a great job on this picture... I really love it!

Oh wow! These leaves are so BEAUTIFUL! This look amazing... I love how all the leaves are not the same color and how you added different colors to make then look more real... They look like some of the leaves in the yard that grandpa is trying to rake up before the snow comes. They look like they are floating in the air! Another great picture! Awesome job, AJ! Awesome job!

Hi AJ! You learned how to make a Zentangle drawing today! That's awesome. I love Zentangle. It's so relaxing, isn't it? I haven't made one where the shapes are going off the paper like yours, but I filled in squares and shapes in black and white and colors. It is so calming to work on for me. I hope you enjoyed making this as much as I enjoyed seeing it. Keep up the good work! This is so cool...

Hi AJ! Wow, I almost missed this one! What a great picture! It sure tells me a lot about the things you like. You did a great job! I especially like the basketball looking like it's heading right for the basket! And your rocket, and the Mountain Dew...but my favorite is the alarm clock. That was very cool... Can't wait to see what you're going to do in art class this year. You are sure off to a great start!

Hi AJ! I was very excited to see your art work has started again! I really love being able to see what you are making in your school art class. I remember coming to visit your school on Grandparent's Day, and how really nice your art class is to work in. So this first picture was so much fun. Your mystery doodles were fun to guess. I see clues for when your birthday is, your computer and game play, a baseball bat and ball, and an apple tree growing in the sunshine. I don't know what that is between the tree and the game controller, though. Maybe you can give me a clue? lol Good job on this first picture. Hope you have a great school year.

Hi Asher, love your school bus. I see the horn works and it stops at stop signs. I wonder if it's going to CCE or going away from CCE. You did a very nice job on this one and especially cutting out the heart so perfectly. It was really great to see all your art projects this year... I liked them all!
- Love, Grandma on May 25, 2022

Hi AJ, Nice job on this gemstone! It looks like a crystal that I used to have that was a light green color, too. I can picture it hanging from a chain as a necklace. Keep up the good work... you artwork this year has been really fun to see!
- Love, Grandma on May 11, 2022

Hi AJ... You have done some amazing artwork this year so every time a new one pops up I am excited to see what it is. This one is very interesting with all the colors over the black and white background. It almost looks like a gummy worm walking in front of a window, but I know that was not what your teacher asked you to create. All the colors blend so nicely, and it looks like a rainbow is filling the design. I really like it a lot! Great job on it!

Hi AJ! I really love this dream catcher picture. We have a lot of Native Americans in our town and they love to make these and sell them in some of our gift stores. They are so beautiful and your picture looks just like one! I think it would do a good job catching dreams with all those beautiful colors to draw them in. What a great job you did on it -- it looks awesome!
- Love, Grandma on March 9, 2022

A.J., Your artwork so far this year has been really amazing to look at. Each project has been interesting and each one is better than the next. We can't wait to see what you are going to do in the new year, but whatever it is, keep up the good work! This picture with all the frames is wonderful. The last one at the end of the 2nd row is my favorite individual square, but the overall picture is just beautiful. Good job!

Oh my goodness and Hot Diggity Dog! You made a Gnome!!! They are my most favorite little people ever! Ooohhh, and I see a little happy face hiding in his beard! Can you tell that Grandma is really excited about this picture? It is really extra special swell! Love it, and love you! Nice job, AJ!!!

Wow, AJ... you picked my favorite colors for your op art project -- purple and blue! What a nice job you did on it, too. It is playing tricks on my eyes when I look at the colors. Sometimes the part in the middle looks closer to me and sometimes the two columns on each side look closer to me. It's really cool... I'm so glad your teacher is sharing these pictures with us. Good job!
- Love, Grandma on November 14, 2021

Oh AJ! This is BEAUTIFUL... I think it's my new favorite. I LOVE all the colors and the design reminds me of a quilt pattern. You did a GREAT job on this. Happy Fall!

Hi AJ! Boy, this picture sure looks like it was a lot of work. You did a great job on it. I especially like the colors you picked out for the hands... Can't wait to see what other new artwork you're going to create this work. As always, keep up the good work!
- Love, Grandma on September 22, 2021

Hi AJ... well, this is certainly an interesting piece of artwork! I can picture you and your classmates sitting in the art room at your school cutting out all these tracks! I love the colors you chose and the way they twist and turn. I'm wondering if that made it hard to glue them all down to the brown paper. It really looks cool! Keep up the good work!
- Love, Grandma on May 19, 2021

Hi AJ! You have the most interesting art projects! This brought back a nice memory for me because the first time I ever tried Sushi, grandpa and I were in Hawaii! It was sooooo good. Your picture reminded me of that time. I think you did a wonderful job on it. I knew right away what it was because of the seaweed wraps and the chopsticks. The seaweed wraps look good enough to eat! Nice job!

Cool picture! Looks so close to the original!
- Aunt Cara on March 10, 2021
Wow! What a great surprise! Where did your teacher get a picture of me? Did your mom give it to her? (ha-ha) Just kidding... I know that's not me, although it does sort of have a family resemblance, doesn't it? (ha-ha). Asher, you did a great job drawing in the other side of this monkey's face. I could not have done as good a job. It looks amazing... When I first looked at, I really did think it was one picture. I couldn't tell which side was the real monkey's face and which side you drew, except the real monkey's face is a little darker. Great job on this one!!! I LOVE IT!!!
- Love, Grandma on March 10, 2021

Hi Asher, I knew what these were the moment I looked at them. You know why? They look just like birch trees! You did a great job on these. I also like the background colors you used to make the trees stand out. It makes for a very interesting picture. Nice job!

AJ, this is the cutest penguin I have ever seen. I love his blue neck scarf! The orange & yellow swirls add a special depth to the art! Great work!
- Mimi on February 4, 2021
Oh my gosh! If that isn't the cutest penguin I've ever seen, I don't know what is! I just LOVE him! I would love to have him waddle to CT so I could take him to Mystic to see all his little penguin friends! I'm sure they would like him right away! And I love, love, love, the message on his tummy... great job, AJ. This one is a real prize winner with me!

Hi AJ! Best.zombie.bear.ever!!! And I LOVE that you added the bones! You have really good attention to detail. If he came to my door for Halloween, I would have been too scared to open the door and give him candy... the blood and bones would have been very scary to see. Good job on this picture, AJ! It came out great!

Hi AJ! I see Mr. Triangle man is a very big part of this picture! It's like he's looking down at all these beautiful colors trying to decide which one he wants to choose for his own, or he's wondering which two colors he needs to mix to make his original color. Either way, I love how you have him watching over all the colors. Maybe he's thinking of making a rainbow! What a great picture!
- Love, Grandma on November 25, 2020
Hi Asher, do you know that the first thing this art work makes me think of is beautiful flower vases all lined up in a flower shop just waiting to be filled with all kinds of beautiful flowers! Your art is so lovely Asher & always sparks my imagination!!!
- Mimi on November 18, 2020

Wow!!! I LOVE this... you made it perfect to look like the inside of a colorful tunnel and it would be so fun to walk right through the middle of that yellow circle into a fabulous adventure! Or if I didn't want to walk, I could ride a spaceship to the center and then blast off into the galaxy!!! Whooooeeeeeee... how cool would that be! Great job, AJ! I love it!
- Love, Grandma on October 21, 2020

Hi A.J., well... isn't this an interesting piece of artwork! When I first looked at it I thought it looked like the inside of my computer, but of course, your network of lines and boxes are much more colorful and fun to look at. And then I thought if I was looking out an airplane window, this could be somebody's neighborhood with all the roads and houses down below. But again, your colors are much better than what I'd see out the airplane window. So I guess it could be whatever anyone looking at it wants it to be, which is just great! Nice job!
- Love, Grandma on October 21, 2020
Hi Asher, This piece of artwork using lines & shapes is really cool. Makes me imagine a little futureistic neighborhood! I always love the orange & blue colors, adding yellow really makes those colors pop! Love your artistic style Asher!

Hello AJ, are you enjoying 3rd grade? I have been enjoying your artwork! I loved your mask, nice colors you chose, love the blue & black & it looks like it would give great safety coverage. Also your self portrait and all the words describing things about yoursef!! I know for sure you are funny & creative. I would love to see your Parkour skills!!! You are also a great artist. I look forward to seeing more!!!
- Mimi on October 14, 2020

Hi Asher! Wow, you mask is soooo cool. It reminds me of the mask I made you when you were here at Christmas last year. It's the same color and everything! I'm so sorry you have to wear a mask, but I am happy that it will help to keep you protected from this nasty virus. We are all wearing them, too! Great job on your drawing... keep up the good work!

Hi Asher! Okay, I'm going to put myself out there and take a guess. Uh-oh, here we go... Did you draw this from "If You Give A Cat A Cupcake?" Am I close? I think those are Magic's paws holding the cupcake... am I right? Please send me a text because I really want to know. Even if I'm wrong, you did a great job on this picture. I especially love the frame with the hearts.
- Love, Grandma on March 11, 2020

Hi Asher, Wow... this is really something! How did you ever decide which shapes to make which color? It looks beautiful! And I love the colors you chose. I'm sure it's supposed to be geometric shapes, but when you put it all together like that, I see a turtle with his head poking out of his shell. Another masterpiece and I LOVE it!

Hi AJ! I see you are back to school and having fun in Art Class again. What a neat picture! It makes we want to make hot chocolate for me and grandpa and plunk in a candy cane for some added pizazz. You did a great job on this... I closed my eyes and I can smell the wonderful smell of that hot chocolate all the way over here at our house! Yum!
- Love, Grandma on January 15, 2020
Oops, I think my first comment was sent before I was finished Asher. This looks like a delicious mug of hot cocoa! I love how you decorated the mug...makes me want to reach in the picture and have a big sip thru that red & white straw. I can taste it now! I really love the little mustaches! Great art Asher?

Wow Asher, there's a lot happening in this picture with all the expressions of color you used. Such a beautiful sky and the tree with the swing looks like it's covered in beautiful red and orange leaves. What a great job you did on this! It made me smile because when I was your age I had a tree with a swing hanging from it -- just like this one, and your beautiful picture made me think of it!
- Love, Grandma on November 17, 2019
Hi Asher. Oh what beautiful art you have created. The colorful fall sky & the tree sitting atop the fenced hill. The leaves on the tree are such bright orange they look like a flame. I would love to be able to sit in that tree swing! I would swing for hours enjoying the beautiful fall landscape! Lovely work Asher!

Hi Asher! I see your class is getting ready to celebrate Halloween next week. Your haunted house is really spooky. I love the ghosts that are leaving through the windows and flying in the air, following the witch. I wonder if they are flying to somebody's neighborhood to go trick-or-treating to get some candy. lol Keep up the good work -- this is awesome!
- Love, Grandma on October 30, 2019
Oh Asher, what a cool & scary haunted house. I love the color of the house, it just makes me wonder if those ghosts might possibly be a little friendly! Asher WOW, you rememberd to draw everything that I think of when I think of a haunted old house at Halloween! The ghosts, the bats in the air & witch flying on her broom. The grave outside in the yard adds the perfect touch!!! Your art work makes me feel excited for Halloween this year? What are you going to dress up as? Happy Halloween Asher

Hi Asher, I really like your work of art in this Fall Leave. Such pretty fall colors and the way the dots follow around the edge of the page it makes me think of the fall leaves dropping, soon leading to winter snow! Your art always sparks my imagination Asher?
- Mimi on October 23, 2019
Hi Asher, this leaf painting came out really great. I love the all the cool fall colors you chose. I also like how all the white circles turn into colored ones, just like when the leaves are changing. They are doing that here now and it's really pretty when you go for a drive in the car these days. Keep up the good work my little buckaroo. This is going to be another favorite of mine -- I can't wait to show Grandpa!

Wow Asher! This is totally awesome! I love all the colors and the lines... you did an amazing job on this drawing... I have been looking at it for a little while and it reminds me of waves crashing into a cave, or maybe a rocky shore. Whatever I think I see, it came out GREAT! Love, Grandma

Hi Asher, This is so exciting -- your first artwork in the 2nd grade! And it looks amazing! I love the black background -- it almost looks like a meteor traveling through outer space, but I don't think meteors are such great colors as blue, pink, purple, yellow and orange. lol I really like your "Dot Day" picture and can't wait to see what other treasures you'll make this year.

OMGosh... how fun is this! When I looked at this picture I immediately thought it could be you or dad singing in the family room. Wow, Asher... this picture is a-MAZ-ing! The colors you picked for the ground and the sky are a perfect background for that nice bold green that you used to create the cactus. It looks wonderful! Okay, so now I'm wondering if the cactus is waving to Mimi and me or if it's waving to the littler cactus off in the distance. lol I think I'm going to pretend it's waving to Mimi and me because we're both far away from you, so you can be the big cactus and Mimi and me will be the little cactus you're waving to! That just put a big smile on my face. Another great job -- keep up the great work!

Hi Asher... Grandma is guessing that this was your last art project before you left on Christmas vacation because these look like ornaments floating in the air. You did a great job cutting and pasting the papers to make these look so real. They do look like you can grab them and put them on your Christmas tree. Great job! Asher, I love your cool artwork. All the different colored dots & the little dots within the big dots. The swirls making the border of your picture are super cool too. Love, Mimi

Hi Asher, your *just make a mark and see where it takes you...* drawing sure took you to some interesting places! Grandma loves to draw, too, so I'm thinking I may make a mark on a paper and see where it takes me! I love all the circles and colors and I think you did a great job decorating the frame with all your curly lines. Nice job!

Asher what an awesome pumpkin in the night! Your pumpkin looks like it's ready to be picked from the pumpkin patch. Great art work!!!

Hi Asher! This is the coolest picture I ever saw! Grandma loves this! Are you having crazy thoughts and ideas coming out of your head, or is it about to rain and you're waiting for the thunderclouds to explode? Totally awesome! It sure looks like Kindergarten is fun!

Hi Asher, Grandma and Grandpa are very excited that we are going to be able to see your artwork in school just like we can see Case's. This is so cool... We love the first ever picture you did in Kindergarten -- we can see you followed directions very well and made a really cool drawing of lines. Keep up the good work!
