Libby, Faces are difficult, but it looks like you are learning fast. What intrigues me is how you made it look three-dimensional--the folds of the fabric, the curve of the cheeks. Pop says you did a great job and can't believe it's your first face drawing. We love you! Nonny and Pop

Libby, This is professional work and we love it. Pop said he was so impressed by your skill and the painting's beauty, as am I. Growing up you always enjoyed soft pastels, layering and blending them even in their messiness. You've just taken it to a greater level. We're so blessed by you! We love you, Nonny and Pop

Libby, This is tremendous work! I feel like I am visiting your art room. Perspective is difficult, but it looks like you are mastering it. The more you practice, keeping your eye on the vanishing point/focal point, the easier it gets. Kind of like life, huh! We love you and are so proud of you! Nonny and Pop

Libby, I'm in awe how wonderful this value drawing is. I love the way you arranged your items for your final composition. You have a good eye. Love this and you! Nonny

Wow, Libby! You certainly captured the texture and the personality of this owl. I love the various lights and darks you overlapped to give texture and dimension. The light reflection on Owl's eyes and the moon overhead give it a nighttime almost eerie mood. Owl's position with the moon being a little offset from the middle also make it even more interesting. She's so cute she needs a name!

Libby, this is great! The way you drew in the reptile skin around the eye, the light and then shadows that make it looked rounded. Then the eye! I am so impressed with how realistic this is and how you pegged creating lifelike texture. Nonny

This is a lovely piece. The blue with flowing lines, the gorgeous fuchsia flower. To me it looks like a young woman with long hair and a flower in the back of her hair, advancing towards the orange sun. The complementary colors side by side make your colors even more vibrant. You are so good!

This is such a fun colorful art piece, full of life and action. It can also be an expression of our circles of life--Life is like sugar donut with sprinkles on it. Love, Nonny

Libby, I love this! I'm guessing this is an overlap project, and you did a great job with all of it--the shaded and highlighted areas. Nice texture, too. I especially love your selection of colors. They are stunning!

I love this! It's like the many layers of life topped with love. For each year you live with your many life experiences, may they always be topped off with God's love and mine.

This is so fun! At first I thought it was a windmill--maybe a mix of the old with the new. But then I saw the carrot being thrown in. So is it like a chopper for a compost area? Creative use of shapes and colors.

This is also beautiful the way your lines add movement. Lyrical lines are my favorite. So graceful, aren't they?

Libby, this is so lovely! I want one like it next time you're here. Was this from a scratch board?

You are so creative and you have always loved art! I love your expressions! This cityscape created with shapes and harvest colors is so fun! You are in a great school that values art through their art programs and the great expanse of God's creative genius. Enjoy this time while learning and developing all the many areas of His expressions of beauty! I'm so proud of you!
