Watercolor is a tough medium to master, but you're already on your way. I love the background with the muted blue and yellow with the still life on the forefront. You are so gifted.

Maddie Grace, This looks just like the roosters they sell in Portugal with the colors, shape and patterns. The rooster is one of Portugal's symbols and seen in many souvenir stores. This one is in motion and crowing/talking. It's wonderful. We love you, Nonny and Pop

Maddie Grace, we love this fox with all of her lovely designs. She needs a special name! I am sending a photo of this fox to three children--5, 7 and 11--who are in a missionary family in Portugal. The five-year old loves foxes. They can use your example, using the triangular shapes for the fox (with a wavy rectangle tail) and their own designs to draw their own. See what you started with your beautiful artwork! Love, Nonny and Pop

Oh, Maddie Grace, you are overwhelmingly good as an artist. This is wonderful. Your fox should be in an art gallery, it's so good. The asymmetrical balance, the folk art designs, the color choices, all combine into a great piece of artwork. Plus, Pop and I love red foxes, having seen them on our property. Beautiful! We love you, Nonny and Pop

You love art and it loves you! The zigzag lines and circles make this plate swirl like it's really moving. Yet, you know it's not. It's because you as a smart artist create the illusion it's moving. Is that a razorback in it?

Now this is a cool way to see how different colors look next to other colors and how they change--look brighter or more dull--when colored next to others. I'm trying to figure out my favorite square with colors. I think it's the pink with larger light blue circle on a dark maroon block. You'll have to tell me yours. You did a wonderful job! Keep listening to your teacher and her directions plus enjoy!

I love this, Maddie! They are cute as a bug, like you. The way you drew the birds, they look like they are acting whacky--moving and jumping around. I also see you used some of the colors in your sight words. Way to go! This is very special!

Dear Madelyne, I love the way you created a lively and vivacious design with fun colors. Is that a razorback ? If so, you may want to create a set of dishes for using during razorback games. How much fun is that! Art has many way to express itself! I love you and your many gifts and talents!
