Charlie, I'm impressed. This is a stunning perspective drawing. The buildings seem realistic, and I appreciate the grey lines and coloring.

Charlie, this is great work and very interesting. The bricks are so realistic, I thought you had laid your name plate on a real wall. Your name is terrific. I like the crisp colors and lines, also the creative letter shapes.

Charlie, Your circus clown artwork is excellent and reminds me of how much fun it was to watch you play the part of Bumbles. You did a great job!

HI Charlie, this is quite interesting. Though it doesn't have a name, I think it is the BFG looking through the window. What fun! I am eager to see your book.

Charlie, when seeing your book, I am excited to know what you are learning about book making along with creating something fun. The Big Friendly Giant is a fun story. Let's read it together next time we are together!

Charlie, this looks so beautiful with so many flowers and leaves. It appears to be a display across a large window. I can't wait to learn more about it from you.

Charlie... we LOVE this clay dinosaur! The color and the detail from his spikes on his back to his nose and eyes, it's AMAZING. We want to help you find a place to display it at home so everyone can see (but the cats won't knock it over :) Mom and Dad

Oh Charlie, what a delightful clay baby dino. Did you name it? It was fun to see many others from your classmates. Yours is my favorite! I can't wait to see it in person! This must be what you mentioned you were working on when we talked on Mother's Day.

Charlie, This is such an interesting artwork. I love the topic and your balloons. Quite a few years ago I was in Albuquerque for the balloon festival. We watched from the grounds and then from the top of a hotel where it seemed we could reach out and touch the many baskets. The designs were fantastic.

Charlie... we love this picture. It feels like we're looking through that port hole from the inside of the submarine. What we're seeing is a great reflection on your imagination and creativity. Keep up the great work!! Love Mom and Dad

Charlie, I really enjoyed seeing your school poster and finding it in the video of your school Christmas musical program. You and your friends in the back row gave the most convincing performance for walking around Northbrook. I was happy to know Northbrook well enough to imagine where you were walking during the song. Such fun!!

Charlie... your work keeps getting better and better and you continually impress me with how great these all are. Keep up the good work! Mom & Dad

Hi Charlie, Wow! This is a cool picture of a football player and the stadium. Your colors are bright and the player looks good on the field! I think you did a good job of proportions for the human figure and the background.

Charlie Just saw your 4th grade mural artwork. It was really fabulous That mural should be in a museum Loved it Grandma

Charlie, this pagoda brought a smile to my face for a few reasons: 1) the colors are just right for me and the pagoda looks aged from the water wash effect, 2) I liked the balance of proportions on the page of sky, mountains and the pagoda, and 3) it reminds me of those we saw in Viet Nam. In Viet Nam we saw them in the crowded city, so no mountains in view. Those have a lower profile (shorter). When we come in June, lets look at the pictures on my computer.

Hi Charlie, I am enjoying looking at your version of the Matryoshka nesting dolls! I think your sizes are good. They remind me of your interest in action figures. Grandpa and I have a small set of the original folk design dolls with red Russian dresses. We saw some of the real dolls on our visit to St Petersburg, Russia. Those in the Hermitage Museum were very old and beautiful, in many sizes, colors and designs.

Hi Charlie, I am very pleased to see your excellent rendition of King Tut's mask. The colors are just right as I remember seeing this mask in person in an Egyptian museum along with other important items like jewelry and his golden throne. Grandpa and I traveled to Egypt, Israel and Jordan, sailed on the Nile river and went down deep into a few pyramids in Egypt. The museum for King Tut was amazing. What you might not know from pictures is that his throne and the mask are shiny (and the other gold artifacts).

Hi Charlie, It is fun to see you in this art project. I didn't know the artist from whom the art project was designed. Your emotions with the added art work are really fun. I also like the little corners holding the images in the album. They remind me of making photo albums when I was a teenager. Were those added digitally or were these images glued onto paper with the little sticky corners?

Charlie, This is so fun! I love that you are working on story telling. This artwork gives me two ideas: 1) please tell me the story when you come in November. And 2) let's play the game I have for telling stories about sweet animal drawings I have. Elana and Elliot had fun with this and now you are old enough to do it too!

Dear Charlie, how fun it was for me and Beepa to discover this lovely artwork today on our way to Copenhagen for our cruise. These colors are amazing and we are impressed with how the are woven together. Taking a look at this reminded me that I haven't told you that I really like your pinchpot too! The colors and sparkling finish is a delight to see. Did you know that a long time ago I made and painted many ceramic pieces. You have some of the angels in your Christmas tree ornaments. Keep up the great artwork. Love from Grandma and Beepa.
