Wow, here's another piece with a social message: I see "peace and friendship" written all over this painting. You really have good ideas to convey in art. Nice work!

This piece really stands out because the pastels are so etherial. It's almost as if you as the artist are trying to tell the world that the person is much more important than the clothes and the hair and the make up and all that silly junk that we people pay too much attention to. Good message!

This is another one of your three-dimensional pieces (I'm viewing all of them backwards, can you tell?). I like this one because the black, purple, silver and red colors really complement each other well and the wrinkles in the foil give extra visual appeal. Also, I appreciate the symmetry and geometry of the piece.

This piece is neat because it reminds me of a deep sea anenome and the clown fish that live among them. There are only a few people who can dive down 150 feet into the ocean to see them, but it seems like you were one of the few. I wonder what you were thinking of when you painted it? Were you happy? Curious?

This piece is particularly special because it also has depth and texture. The wrinkles in the foil make it seem like it's alive and really "speaking" to the viewer. Also, I really like the blends of color that you used.

This one is especially good because it is simple but thought-provoking. I'll bet it means something different to everyone who looks at it. When I was in 3rd Grade, my teacher, Mrs. Gray, gave me one of those multi-colored pencils that came in segments for good behavior. When I wanted blue, I just pulled out the segments that were other colors and put them into the bottom of the pencil until the blue one pushed out. It makes me feel happy to look at this piece of artwork because it reminds me of that pencil and that time in my life that was really happy.

Wow, Torria! This piece shows your clever use of contrasting colors and geometric shapes. To me it looks like a beautiful and graceful black cobra basking on the warm sand in an exotic country like Egypt at sunset. Maybe those other shapes are black obsidian rocks that are keeping the beautiful cobra warm as the sun goes down. I love the combination of hot pink with chartruse and you toned down all the bright colors with some cool violet. This is also a really nice piece. Michelley

Hi T! I really like this pen and watercolor piece. The way you painted the background dark makes the subject's haircolor and pretty face really stand out from the rest. I also like that you concentrated the color in some places but not in others because that makes for greater visual appeal. Nice work! Michelley

Hi Torria! Love your latest green creation. It reminds me of a lush island surrounded by beaches and trees and a house in the middle! The water's kinda grey, so it must be a cloudy day! : ) Hope you're having a fun summer! XOXO Nancy, Daren, & Pete ~..~
