Such personality on this kitty! I would love to see it from the back to check out its tail

I love this little clay Kitty. Is it Greyson? or is it Grayson? Love, Gompa
Posted 3 years ago by Doug

How cool! Is that a Grayson bobble-head? So cute and full of personality. Quite a project! Was it fired in a kiln or air dried? Maybe we can do some ceramics when we visit in August. Love, Nana

This is such a cool piece! What was the inspiration? I especially like the figure with the banana in the center.

What an intriguing piece, Elly! You have really let your imagination take you places. I'm impressed by the distinctive costuming, the motion, and the cool 3-D effects. And is that baNana costume in honor of someone special? :) Love, Nana

Elly, the bright colors you used in this kaleidoscopic piece remind me of Encanto. What a lot of work it must have required. Spectacular result! Love, Nana

Elly, I love the bright colors on the black background. And of course, I didn’t miss the ROYGBIV! And the excellent mathematical precision of the folded paper. I love it! Yaya

I love the different feather textures on this owl! I also really like the moon, with it's craters; I'd love to look more closely at this piece to appreciate your technique :)
Posted 3 years ago by Auntie T

Elly, that is the cutest girl owl I have ever seen! She looks ready for a night party! With the moon watching over her.
Posted 3 years ago by Linda

Love that fashionable owl. And even better, that I got to see the original! Hugs, Nana

Nice piece, Elly! I would love to know about the media you used. The color gradients are excellent, and very striking in contrast with the black.
Posted 4 years ago by Auntie T

Cool artwork. Would have never found your name in it, if it had not been called "Name Design". Did you draw them all free hand? Or did you somehow reproduce the other 7 after creating 1? Loved it, Gompa

Elly, this is stunning. My gaze is drawn inward by the angles, shaping, and colors. And the black lines on white create for me the illusion of spinning. It took me a long time time to find your name; Very well disguised. Looking forward to seeing this beauty in person! Love, Nana
Posted 4 years ago by Melanie

Love it, Elly! Now I see your name in the spider web! Love ya, Yaya
Posted 4 years ago by Linda

Oh, now I see that this was from your personal gallery. Must be one of your favorites and I can see why! Cool how the birds are perched at slightly different angles. Sometimes I miss Nana Story Hour and the time we had together for stories and art projects. Love, Nana

Is this the art piece we worked on together, or just something like it? Love those lovebirds. Love, Nana
Posted 4 years ago by Melanie

This is a fascinating piece! Looks like you used a variety of media, and it must have taken a lot of planning, attention, and time on task. Hope to see it in person in August. Love, Nana

Hi Elly, Cool "weaving". I love being able to see two pictures in one. Very Interesting. Love you, Gompa

Oh, I love this! What intricate work you have done on the dreamcatcher hoop. The feathers look as if they are moving, and the color wash is lovely and soothing. Will you have this framed and hung above your bed? I think I might do the same. Love, Nana
Posted 4 years ago by Melanie

Wow, what pretty colors. It must have taken a steady hand and a lot of time to do this one, especially the feathers. Love it.
Posted 4 years ago by Gompa

These neon fish appear to be moving! Maybe that's because of the glow you have painted around them, or the way the background varies. I'm really enjoying looking at this piece.
Posted 5 years ago by Melanie

Wow, I love the colors on these fish! Great composition
Posted 5 years ago by Auntie T

Elly, Those are sure pretty Klee fish. Reminds me of the pretty fish to see snorkeling in Hawaii. Hope you get to see some next summer. Love you,

Hi, Elly. I must have missed this one, but I'm glad to see it again. It looks very festive to me, like a Christmas snowflake in a pleasing combination of pastel colors. Cool! Love, Nana
Posted 5 years ago by Melanie

Great work, and just in time for your bird-day! Each bird is unique, and you have shown them from different perspectives, which is intriguing. I even see different personalities! Love, Nana

I love these birds! Such great framing and use of color and space.

Nice snowflake artwork. I always wished I could look at a snowflake under a microscope. But when I tried they melted before I could see them. This is a good sample of what I might have seen.

Nifty Christmas tree! I think it would make a lovely decoration for my house. :) So glad I get to see your creations. Love you! Nana

Oh, wow! That is spectacular. Looks so cozy and warm, and I love the hair with the wisps escaping the braids. I had to look up Klimt to see his style. Apparently he loved women, and it showed in his art. I so enjoy seeing your artwork as it grows and changes. Love, Nana

YEA !!! I always like seeing Christmas Artwork. Looks like you are getting into the Christmas Spirit.

Hi, Ellly. Hopefully you will tell me what a "Mini Fig" Self Portrait is. I do understand self portrait, though, and I'm fascinated with this picture of you. I like the vivid colors, cheerful face and hair, unique hands, and patched pants. The shoes look as though you are walking, with the right one flat and the left one stepping. Did you do that on purpose? Love you, Nana

Hi, Elly. This is such an interesting piece, with the line designs in the background and the superimposed colors and shapes. My eyes keep traveling back and forth and discovering new things. I'm looking forward to hear about "The Longest Line" and how that title inspired your artwork! Love you, Nana

Hi, Elly. Really like this watercolor! Was it difficult to do? Did you paint the surface with water first and then apply paint? (We used that technique in a class I took.) You've created such interesting textures, and the figures have personality. Glad we get to see your art again! Love, Nana
Posted 6 years ago by Melanie

Elly, this is so intriguing. Really draws me into the scene and inspires my imagination. Sometimes it seems like I'm looking from space onto Earth; other times it's something very different. Love your color choices and the blending you've done! Love you, Nana

Hi Elly, This is really interesting. I love all the layers. And all the stitches must have taken a long time to draw. Keep making the great artwork, it is fun to look at.

Hello Elly, What a beautiful Mountain Scene, I love the sky, is it sunset? The different shades of mountains look like what Nana and I saw on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Keep up the great creations, Love, Gompa

What a vivid landscape! I love how you used various shades of color to show layers of mountains and the effect of the sunlight. Looks like you used a mixture of media, too. Maybe tissue paper for the sky? Can't wait to see this painting (and you!) in person! Love, Nana

EllyBelle! I love this painting! This is my favorite part about living by the mountains, seeing the different colors and layers of blue from the different levels of the mountains. I miss you! Can't wait to see you in a few months!

Wow, what a lot of things are going on in that brain. I see weights, pulleys, movement, gears, a crane, and a light bulb to go on when that GREAT idea happens. Did I miss anything? This is really cool artwork! I love it. -- Gompa

Hi, Elly. What a treat! I love the snow collecting on the branches. That is just how it looked here yesterday. If we had a tire swing, it would have been swinging in the breeze like yours. With the snow blowing from the hill, I can almost feel the wind. But the girl (you?), colorful birds, and treehouse make the scene friendly and warm, too. Much Love, Nana -- Melanie
Posted 7 years ago

Elly, Very nice artwork. I would like to swing on that tire swing then let go to fall in that big pile of snow. It would be fun to be in that tree house, up high with the birds. Love you, -- Gompa

Hi Elly, I love your sun artwork. It is cold here today only 16 degrees at 8am (burrrr), I wish your warm sun was here to warm us up. What is o the rays of light? Are they butter flys? Or just small designs? Love you. -- Gompa
Posted 7 years ago

Hi, Elly! How wonderful to see your bright, happy sun picture today! You included a lot of detail and patterns, and you did some skillful mixing of colors for the sky. (Did you paint that with watercolors?) I will be ordering note cards so my friends and family will have the chance to see your work. Much Love, Nana -- Melanie

Very nice work on the Scarecrow. He seems to have a lot of crow friends visiting him. Maybe he is not a scarecrow, but a friendcrow. Keep up the wonderful artwork. Are those real buttons? -- Gompa

Hi, Elly. I love the bright colors in this picture. You added so many interesting details, and I like the way you made the scarecrow's clothing look old. Seems like that scarecrow isn't much good at scaring crows! :) Keep up the good work. Your art is amazing! Hugs, Nana -- Melanie
