Now this is a very interesting work ! We see a scene with your cat on a sunny day strolling through the flowers ! Does this mean you are tired of the winter ? The paper's border is also quite decorative and adds a nice "frame" to your scene ! We think you show such an artistic nature in the way you have made a pleasant composition using happy, bright & desirable objects ! If you never heard of Grandma Moses, you should look her up. She was a famous artist who also portrayed simple, happy subject matter in her works. Keep being a great artistic "story teller" !

This creation is exceptional !!! We really admire your compositional style and this shows you have inherited a strong artistic nature from present & distant relatives ! Your mind created this "cloud"scape or "land"scape with a snowy, starry atmosphere. The planet (Saturn ?) emits an eerie glow in that dark space/sky and it highlights the top of each soft color below it ! Could the large shapes be clouds or mountains ? You have created a very interesting scene which makes the viewer wonder and want to participate. It makes us wonder what thoughts you were portraying while enjoying a "dreamy" soft scene. We hope you enjoy and will continue being so cleverly artistic !

OH MY GOODNESS - This is my new favorite !!! It is exceptionally epic !!! How clever are you !!!! We love the sunshine/sunrays briefly interrupted & intertwined with the square blue shapes !! This weaving technique is a very interesting art form and really shows how well you pre-planned the image !! The colors are very warm and pleasing to the eyes !! You sure have an artistic & creative mind !! This can be our Christmas present !

We got another image of this great artwork from your mom that was a little darker. Now we can see it a little better - It is very well done! Someday we really hope you could use a darker pencil to define the lighter areas to make the head outline etc. bolder and send us a copy ! Your shading of the darker areas is so well done ! You really captured Yoda's image and we hope you do more drawings of characters !
Posted 2 years ago by sally
We are truly sorry that we cannot see much (if any) of this design. Either it was done with a very light pencil or the photograph of it was too light. Sadly, we can't give an opinion. Maybe we can get another image sent ?
Posted 2 years ago by sally
These are some awesome geometric shapes ! We can see you "shaded" them to convey that they are 3 dimensional. Nicely done ! The background shapes are quite interesting - forming a pattern that makes the other shapes stand out. Are you still trying to give your work titles ?
Posted 2 years ago by sally
WOW ! We absolutely love this creation ! We are very impressed with the positioning of all the leaf shapes (in different directions) just as they would fall in real life ! The mostly cool colors you chose to use are perfect to represent the lack of sunshine in the fall and to represent the end of the growing season (death). The white leaves could be "missing" or snow covered. The negative shapes are just as interesting as the positive ones ! We can tell you put a lot of thought into this design ! Keep it up !
Posted 2 years ago by sally
The geometric shapes seem to create a story that your mind wanted to tell us ! The smiley faces represent a happy theme and the colors make us feel like your story was about candy !!?? PLEASE PEASE give us real titles for your art !! We enjoy seeing everything you create !
Posted 2 years ago by sally
This is an impressive design showing your creative mind ! We liked seeing the large variety of different colors within a series of similar lines. Your colors express a calm, soft feeling !
Posted 2 years ago by sally
We really like your treasure map ! The compass is quite accurate & the Hewitt "ribbon" banner looks official. Clever details & very imaginative.
Posted 2 years ago by Sally & Fritz
We really think this artwork is clever ! Are we correct assuming it is clay ? Wondering if you "fired" it and "glazed" it at school ? If so, it's great that the art department has the equipment ! We are impressed with the title you chose ! It makes our minds wonder what you were thinking of while creating this. Keep being clever !
Posted 3 years ago by Sal and fritz
We knew you loved monkeys as much as your mom and grandma ! What a great composition you created using images of them & we think you truly enjoyed "breaking the rules"!! We hope you stay as imaginative your whole life as you are at age 11 !!!
Posted 3 years ago by Sally
We really like your sculpture ! How big is it ? It will be interesting to learn what the art assignment (idea) for this creation was ! We would love to have a written "artist statement" posted along with the art ! Keep up the good artwork !
Posted 3 years ago by Sal and fritz
What a great sculpture ! We wonder how you made this cool guy ! How big is it & did you use clay ? It will be interesting to learn the "main idea" behind this particular project. In future artworks, we would sure enjoy having your written comments along with the image ! Keep creating !
Posted 3 years ago by Sally & Fritz
We really like your sneaker ! We don't quite understand what part of the design was yours ? We wish you would have given this a title !! Someday we hope you can explain your thought process with this project and it is hoped you will continue with your interesting & imaginative artwork during the summer !

WAIT WAIT - Is that Kermit ??? Well done !!
Posted 3 years ago by Sal and fritz
Ohhh now we see it’s Kermit the frog !!! Very well done !!
Posted 3 years ago by Sal and fritz
We really like this image !! We see a funny & happy monster with huge teeth or could it be a dog ? You have once again used your very clever imagination to create artwork. Your use of color is quite inventive & pleasing ! We hope you soon will also use your very creative imagination to find words for titles !!! Using "untitled" is the "easy" way out and we know you can do better than that !! It will be a new fun challenge.
Posted 3 years ago by Sal and fritz
WOW ! We really think this is a strong composition ! You have used the entire page to illustrate your emotions which pleases us ! It makes us feel like you are pretty happy with the world and your place in it ! The big sun, bright blue sky and bright green new grass signify a hope for spring and nice warm days soon to come. We can truly feel your positive emotions shining through !

Do we see a banana tree ? If not, we'd love to know what you were thinking of during this project. Sure do like the fact that you knew how to use warm & cool colors in this composition ! We hope you will someday finish completing the scene (covering the entire page) with similar colors. We would also like to see your great imaginative mind come up with a very creative title ! That would make it "A-PEEL-ing" haaaaa

We really like this artwork ! Especially Papa, who you must know is a huge fan of the Browns ! The helmet is very well designed and shows you have carefully observed how the helmet shape and mouth guard are formed. The project was titled : 'neutral colors' but we're not certain that orange is a neutral color ? We would love to have known a title for this art rather than "untitled". Perhaps soon you can think of a good title and let us know ?

We really think your green monster is scary ! He reminds us of a germ (like The Covid virus) and he represents something we all should avoid !! We need to have vaccinations to keep this ugly guy away !! You did a great job drawing those eyes !

I beg your pardon - We DID leave a comment days ago !
Posted 4 years ago by Sal and fritz
You sure have drawn a great example of how we can all change the world ! Equalty among all human beings is a good solution to solving many problems now facing the world ! We think you can draw cool images of different people and your green grass & tree display a very pleasant environment for happiness. This drawing shows how well you understood the project's meaning and you were able to display your deep inner thoughts in the artwork ! Great work !
Posted 4 years ago by Sal and fritz
Were you making a cartoon ? Is this an "action" drawing ? We think you were drawing a picture of yourself jumping into the swimming pool to make a huge splash ! Pretty clever of you ! We really like the figure with red trunks !
Posted 4 years ago by Sal and fritz
We think it's really clever of you to title your work "The Branch" !! Trees have so many branches, we never focus on just one so your "perspective" was refreshing as a new way to "see" objects in nature !!
Posted 4 years ago by Sal and fritz
Are we correct in assuming the squiggly lines represent the very rough bark on a tree ? If yes, then you did a great job showing how lines can describe nature ! Keep up the good artwork.
Posted 4 years ago by Sal and fritz
This is an awesome architectural drawing ! We feel you were using your imagination to draw the shapes of your house. Using mostly straight lines, you have created quite a good blueprint ! This rather complete sketch shows you were seeing the basic outlines of your house and maybe the garage ? Whatever you were thinking about, we really get the impression you had your "thinking cap" on !!
Posted 4 years ago by Sal and fritz
WOW !! We were sure surprised to see you wearing such a big mask ! We can't think of who it reminds us of but it sure is scary ! Frankenstein ? Is the black part your Covid mouth mask ? We wondered what the white part on top was ? Did someone rip off your nose ? Sorry ! Maybe you could start creating next fall's Halloween mask ?
Posted 4 years ago by Sal and fritz

We liked this blending of colors & tints ! It clearly shows that you know how to mix different colors to attain pleasing combinations. We hope you continue to experiment with this process of mixing all different colors to see what happens !
Posted 4 years ago by Sal and fritz
This project was labeled "3 dimensional/mask" so we wondered if you actually made this design into an actual facemask that can be worn ? We think it is a clever idea and love the mustache ! Was the sombrero already there or did you draw that ? Great name too !
Posted 4 years ago by Sal and fritz
That is one way cool facemask ! Vey clever ! A well designed image that covers the entire area ! Maybe you could print that out and attach strings for your ears. you could wear it on top of your regular cloth mask ? You should consider being a graphic designer for your career !
Posted 4 years ago by Sal and fritz
This is a very interesting artwork ! We wonder how you mixed colors so well to end up with a very pleasing pastel color ! You probably learned that mixing too many colors will produce gray & brown ? A larger image would have been easier to enjoy.
Posted 4 years ago by Sal and fritz
This composition shows an architectural, linear style . We did not see what the teacher was asking you to convey but we'd have liked to see more variety of color & shape.
Posted 4 years ago by Sal and Fritz
Great colors, shapes & textures - some of the basic elements of art !
Posted 4 years ago by Sal and Fritz
Well now, you certainly understand what neutral colors are ! We like the fact that you chose three different sized shapes and gave all the shapes different textures. There are many neutral colors in the world around us and they serve to enhance & compliment the brighter colors !

It IS a silly drawing !! We are guessing you were thinking of a vehicle with only 2 wheels and "he" is sad ?? So, do you think pop tarts would be safe in a crash ? HA ? Continue being creative & artistic !
Posted 4 years ago by Sal and fritz
We really like this composition using the three primary colors (red, yellow & blue.) You created almost a 'plaid' design and you managed to create some green color by mixing the yellow & blue paint ! There may be some orange and purple (where colors cross blended) but it is hard to tell on our small screen. Keep painting - we love it !
Posted 4 years ago by Sal and fritz
WOW !! This is awesome !! We see a very bold and well styled HOT sunshine above a cool, wavy body of water ! The three different sized water "waves" make for good variety and the overall design looks professional ! It should be a "logo" for a new sunscreen product or any summertime product ! This is really one of our favorites !
Posted 5 years ago by Sal and fritz
We really like this "gesture" drawing ! We do not understand what the project meant (4 X extensions) but we do like the composition you created ! Nice change of colored lines ! Not all art needs to"explain" things or show something familiar . Every section of this design holds ones interest !
Posted 5 years ago by Sal and fritz
The photograph of this artwork is too "light" to be seen well. Maybe you didn't use much color or any dark lines to express the "motion" intended ? From the little we can see, it does look like all the lines in a row are marching with a shining sun behind them !

Posted 5 years ago by Sal and Fritz
LOVE this very creative magical car/machine !!! We think you have a good "mechanical" way of drawing !!
Posted 5 years ago by Sal and Fritz
We enjoyed seeing your latest cool creation ! It's interesting that you chose to use several different colors and we are pleased that you used every part of the page. As usual, it would be fun to hear your thoughts as to how and why you chose your design. We can truly see you have a very active and fun imagination ! Keep up the good work !!
Posted 5 years ago by Sal and fritz
Very interesting ! We always wonder what is going through your mind when you create these special images ! Lines are just one of the elements in creating art and it seems you are learning about all the many elements in your art classes ! Keep imagining & creating !
Posted 5 years ago by Sal and fritz
Hey Graham, that "sculpture" looks pretty interesting ! The photo is a bit too dark for us to actually see all the objects you used but we can tell you put a lot of creative thought into it's creation. We get the impression of a rocket ship on a launching pad. Keep exploring all the ways art is in our lives !

What a great fish ! Your line drawing displays a lot of pattern & texture. You drew a really good image of a fish and it looks smooth and silky like a real fish. We see you understand what pattern & texture mean. Nice work !

This pleasing artwork reminds us of a kite. We don't quite understand how the triangular shapes represent a color wheel but we bet your creative mind can explain what you were wanting the viewer to understand ! It would be interesting to us to know what kind of paints you have been using because we really like the color tones and smooth texture. Is it a form of online coloring that we probably don't know about ?

Now that's what we call a great artwork !! You created a colorful, pleasing composition using the entire sheet of paper. We get the feeling you are riding in your car during this quarantine period of time. Could it be raining, causing big puddles ? We think you have mixed feelings about staying home and missing your friends. We really enjoy seeing these bright colors and your imagination being expressed !

We are not sure what this assignment was supposed to teach but we like the man in the hat with the cats ! Does he have a lunchbox ? Is he quarantined & staying at home ? We find it interesting how you are able to still have art class at home.
Posted 5 years ago by Sal and fritz
WOW ! Your artwork really brightened our day ! You used Sal's absolute favorite colors (the primaries) and created a very interesting, fun design ! Womdering if you used markers or paint ? We would frame that and hang it in our house ! Please keep being so artistic !!!
Posted 5 years ago by Sal and fritz
You created some lines forming a striped pattern and we liked your use of the entire sheet of paper ! Also you created a rectangular shape within another rectangle. We would like to know what was going on in your mind as you painted these designs and if you were telling a story. You always amaze us with your artistic skills !
Posted 5 years ago by Sal and fritz
We see a very springlike drawing with thunder/rainclouds above lightning strikes & new growing grass ! Whatever you were creating, we feel like you were having cheerful & happy thoughts ! Art can really express the artists feelings !
Posted 5 years ago by Sal and fritz
This is a wonderful paainting (or drawing) using warm & cool colors ! We see a violent thunderstorm with fierce lightning strikes ! The swirling lines show strong winds ! The cool blue background suggests a stormy evening with a dark cloud overhead and the warm colors are the electrical strikes. Good job !!
Posted 5 years ago by Sal and fritz
Graham, this is a very pleasing arrangement of interesting shapes ! The composition of all these shapes makes for a balanced "scene". If you had (or used) more shapes, you could have filled the entire space. We can see a "mask" and wonder if you meant to create that image ? Keep using your creative artistic imagination !
Posted 5 years ago by Sal and fritz
This is what we think is the beginning or end of a rainbow ? Nice use of color ! Somehow the "message" is unclear to us. Were you trying to "convey" something with this image ? We like your shapes and can see your imagination was hard at work ! Someday, please let us know what you were thinking of as you created this !
Posted 5 years ago by Sal and fritz
Graham, this an interesting drawing showing how lines outline shapes which are colored in very nicely ! We will be interested someday to learn what you were thinking of when you drew this artistic creation !
Posted 6 years ago by Sal and fritz
We laughed when we saw your good self portrait because it is similar to a cartoon drawing ! Have you gained weight ? You sure look round but very happy! Papa loves the haircut ! It is a very well drawn portrait of you and we'd like to see more people & animal drawings !

WOW, it sure looks like Santa is coming down the chimney fast ! He looks scared even though he is saying HoHoHo ! We think your drawing of the chimney is very well done and you were able to draw lines that show a lot of movement and action ! You did a great job drawing Santa really "within" the chimney !! Keep your creative mind always working hard !

This is a great work of art ! Are we correct when we see a bird's beak ? It would be fun to know exactly how you created this and what was in your mind to come up with the awesome design !
Posted 6 years ago by Salandfritz
This is a very interesting painting using Sal's three favorite colors (the primaries - red, yellow & blue) We wonder if there are erupting volcanoes, making the sky red hot ? The blue area reminds us of mountains and we can see your imagination was working hard ! We'd love to hear your story behind this clever composition !
Posted 6 years ago by Salandfritz
We really enjoyed seeing your "snowland" drawing ! There sure are lots of snowflakes which makes us wonder if those well drawn figures are Santa's elves outside the workshop ? It would be fun to hear your thoughts about what is happening in the scene. We hope you always use your great, creative imagination !
Posted 6 years ago
Is this the first time you have painted on canvas ? How fun and we think you did a great job ! It will be interesting to hear the story "behind" the artwork but it appears that you can handle brushes and paints very well. Hoping the spring sun in Fairview is as big and warm as the one in your painting !

Cool mask ideas ! They are all very different and well drawn with bright colors ! Will you actually make these masks ? We think it would be a fun project to try. Your are one very creative boy !

It is awesome that you have learned how to mix colors ! You created a very pleasing composition using many of the colors of the rainbow and it shows you had fun learning as you worked on this ! It's always impressive to us that you use all the paper (covering every area) to make the entire scene interesting to the viewer. Nice variation of different sized shapes too !
-- Salandfritz

What a gorgeous flower you created! You also painted a very complete & pleasing background to provide a good contrast against the flower. It was pretty clever of you to have painted a curvy stem rather than just a straight stem. The curvy stem gives "life" and "interest" to the scene. Good work !

This is a great drawing & painting of night time colors ! We can see two boys wearing bright colors as the sun is setting and darkness begins ! It is always fun to view your art which uses all areas of the paper for an interesting scene ! There is also "implied" action or movement between the boys as they play. Very nice work Graham!

Can't wait to see more of your imaginative work !

That is one huge, fast , scary shark !! But he does look happy with a big smile on his face ! Your use of neutral colors really make the water look & feel cold ! You sure do know how to draw a shark well ! We get the feeling from the swirling lines that this shark is swimming in circles vey fast. Good drawing with "action" & & keep up the great work !!!

This is a cool architectural drawing ! You sure know how to draw buildings and we like the sunny, happy feeling we get looking at it. The grass area gives those big buildings a sturdy base at the bottom and again we are impressed you designed the entire piece of paper!

We thought this drawing was quite interesting ! It seems to represent a "maze" or a "tangled web" where things get trapped. It's always pleasing to see you fill in all the space on the page which makes every area part of the overall design. You sure have good ideas in your big imagination !
-- Salandfritz

That is a very good drawing of a kid shooting a basketball at the hoop (like the court you have across the streret from your house!) You were able to show "action" with the ball in mid-air and that kid looks really happy playing! You sure know how to draw people well and understand how to draw a good body in the middle of throwing with the arms out ! We hope you keep sharing your awesome work with us !

Hey Graham, you did a great job showing how you can mix colors ! We see that you painted a paint tray with different compartments where you have mixed a variety of colors and can definitely see yellow & blue. Are you learning to make new colors by mixing the 3 primaries of red, yellow & blue ? You have an awesome art teacher and we hope you are enjoying creating so many new works of art !
-- Salandfritz

Graham, you did an awesome job painting that abstract cat ! Your use of bright colors, starry eyes, "furry textured" paint application and pointy ears really made the artwork "come alive". You are wise to use ALL the paper for your composition and we think you are becoming a great artist just like your brothers !
-- Salandfritz

WOW Graham, we absolutely love that handsome "person" you drew. And the giant tree next to him is very well done ! You sure know how to draw and we hope you are as happy as the person in the picture ! We especially enjoy seeing that you are not afraid to use big shapes, filling the entire page. Keep up the awesome work !
-- Salandfritz

Good job Graham ! It looks like you found many different ways to make the brush form different patterns ! Hopefully you have learned that paint brushes need to be washed very well after you use them. We really like the shapes you used in this picture and hope you will keep creating more great work !
