Nice drawing Grace! The reflection of the buildings in the water is cool.

I love how you used different shades of purple in the sky! It reminds me of some of the sunsets we have here. I really like where you put the orange flower. Did you use crayon and then watercolor on top? It is a really interesting combination. Big hugs.

Gracie! I am so happy that you are back in school and are sharing your fantastic artwork again. I missed seeing them over the summer. I really like this one because Where the Wild Things Are was always one of my favorite books to read and she looks like she would be a really nice and fun monster friend to have. Your use of colors is fabulous with the two-tone hair and the color of her yellow horns contrasting against the purple background, and I really like the pattern you drew on her green clothes. I love how you drew her arms too. She looks like she is about to start dancing! Beijos and big hugs

Gracie! I especially love this one, especially how the tissue paper gives it dimension so that it does not look flat. The first thing I thought of right away when I saw this painting was that it belongs in a Dr. Seuss book - Truffala Trees! Then I read the description from your teacher and saw I was right. The Lorax is a great book and it reminds all of us to take care of our Earth because it is the only one we have. Big hugs!

Mommy is right! It looks like a cookie - yum. Gracie, you did a fantastic job of symmetry in this project. Each wing looks like a reflection of the other side. Some designs are more subtle that others. I noticed the two little smiley faces at the top of the wings. :-) Big hugs

I love this! And it is a new "medium" for you (that means that painting on a rock is different than painting on paper which is what you have been working with in the past). When I see you I want to ask you if it was more difficult o easier to paint on a rock. I think Mommy is right and it would look beautiful in your flower garden but don't forget to put in inside your garage during the winter so the ice does not damage it. Can't wait to see it next time I come visit! Big hugs
