I like these pink clouds a lot. It's as if the pink spring flowers are being reflected in the clouds above their heads. Love the sun or moon. love, Grammy

Hi Finley, this is such a sad picture to me. I see a lot of suffering through the eyes and the colors you chose. I'm wondering what you were thinking about with this dramatic picture. The person maybe looks scared/frightened. I'd love to hear your ideas about it. Love, Grammy

Very Cool, beautiful colors and shading.
- Jeff (Father) on April 21, 2020
Well, Finley - this is such a interesting work and as I could tell from your comments, it was also a lot of work! Well done. It reminds me of a design that would be beautiful on a silk scarf. It looks so delicate and at the same time, powerful. Bravo! Grammy

Finley, I wanted you to know that Grampa and I ordered an 11x14 of this totally cool house with clouds and setting sun light and now we've framed it and it's on the wall. We love this picture - just as much as we loved the mountain, coast one. Bravo, Grammy

Good Grief, Finley - what an amazing undertaking!! How clever you are and I love the way it looks - I like the color a lot and the monster M. Good for you, Granddaughter. Love, Grammy P.S. I'm so sorry you cut yourself!

Hey Finley - another winner! I've just ordered a 11x14 and we'll frame it like we did the other one. Grampa and I just love this house and the evening light reflected in the windows. I'd like to be inside the house looking out - I wonder what's out there. Actually it looks like there might be a lake on the right. Love, Grammy

Finley, how interested the way you created the shadows on these magnificent mountains. Beautiful.

Finley's Grampa and I have this amazing picture matted, framed and on the wall of our house. It's excellent work. Bravo, Finley! Grammy P.S. I ordered three of them!

WOW! Oh Finley, this picture you've made is exquisite! I will definitely get a copy for our house. The ocean, the mountains in the background and the shore - and oh, the sky and its turbulence. But not a scary turbulence but a brightening that may mean the storm has passed. A lovely picture. Bravo! Grammy

WOW, Finley. I can feel the movement of that sphere that you painted so well - it looks so real. I guess those aren't rainbows as they don't follow the rule of Roy G. Biv: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet. Love, Grammy

Finley, this is incredible! I was sure it was three dimensional - and then I saw that you're drawing origami. Amazing. love, Grammy

Finley, this "fallen rose" is lovely! You've really captured the look of a rose - maybe it's nighttime and the rose is in the shadow. Love, Grammy

The jacket and pants look genuine frumpy and realistic. I’d like to meet that character . Papa

Hi Finley - I really like your continuous vine artwork and your explanation, too. What an interesting approach to drawing to not lift up your marker. Bravo! Love, Grammy

I like this sculpture you made with the hand sign for peace. It's colorful and a good message too. Do you know the sign language for I love you? -- Aunt Amy

Nice contrast between the warm and fuzzy winter drink and the urban glare and grit of a school's hallways. Or is everyone taking their shoes off to sip into the giant cup, or take a swim? -- Papa

Hey Finley, I enjoy seeing your creative output. This bear is a fun and practical idea. It was interesting to hear about the process of making the bear, and what you learned along the way. -- A.A.
- on November 21, 2018
I absolutely LOVE Jazzy Bear, Finley! He's so friendly looking holding out his arms for a hug OR he might be proposing to a girl bear - saying, "Will you marry me?" He's a darling boy bear. Love, Grammy -- Marsha

Finley, this is very intriguing! I'm wondering what implement you used to scrape away the paint on this picture - maybe it was your finger! This picture has a lot of depth and I don't know how you achieved that look as if some of the wavy lines are in the foreground and others in the distance. Neat! Love, Grammy -- Grammy

I think this flower is beautiful! I like the way it uses up the whole page; I like the color because purple is my favorite color and I like the dabs of blue and dark pink/red. There's lots of air in the picture and it's almost as if the wind is blowing the pedals off the flower - very nice! Good work, Finley, Love Grammy -- Grammy

Hi Finley, I really love what you're doing these days. The printmaking is fascinating. I particularly like this dark blue and cream colored print you've made. Love, Grammy -- Marsha

Hi Finley - I was sure that I had written about this dramatic picture you've made...but I certainly could be mistaken. I'm sorry. Well, it's a very exciting - it's scary at the same time as being a cheerful picture. It makes me think of having hope...there are the black clouds and what appears to be rain in them...and yet there is the blue sky and sun on the horizon - a sure sign of hope. Wonderful work, Finley. Love, Grammy -- Grammy

I decided to buy the picture of bland meets grand. It came last week. Now I'll frame it. Love Grammy -- Grammy

Finley, this is a lovely idea - grand meets bland! I'm trying to decide whether i want an apron or a picture for our wall. Good work, Finley! Love, Grammy -- Marsha

Finely this is an exciting new version of desert travels! It makes we think the camel isn't.thirsty when I see the flower. I think he was just at an oasis and got a drink. -- Grammy
- on December 6, 2017
WOW! Finley - this is your best yet - well, I don't know, I love so many of them - but this is really amazing. The camel is magnificent and I think the stencil in orange and white is really beautiful. I don't understand how you did these: the stencil looks so difficult and you can see the camel's hair!!! Way to go, love, Grammy -- Grammy

Finley, I love this mask and wish I had it on my wall! I like the colors - the very interesting blues and I think the placement of the white circles was carefully thought out. I assume this may have been molded over your face. It's quite good! Grammy -- Grammy

Finley, your picture has so much emotion in it. The eyes are so strong and I feel as if the picture can see me. This portrait is very expressive. Well done! Grammy -- Grammy

Hi Finley, I really like Styrogami a lot and I also enjoyed reading your description of how you made it. It's rather "other worldly," isn't it! Love, Grammy -- Grammy

Hi Finley, I got my beautiful Zentangle mouse pad this week in the mail and it's lovely and thick. I'm using it all the time now. Thanks for drawing it. Love, Grammy -- Grammy

Hi Finley, this is my second favorite picture you did. I ordered postcards of it, as you know. I love everything about it - the bursting sunrise* and the tiny houses in the valley next to a body of water that is reflecting the land. I think torn paper is a wonderful medium to use. Love, Grammy, *Maybe it's a sunset! -- Grammy

Finley, I find this collage fascinating! I don't know what it means, but that doesn't matter. I do see that the girl is crying and I wonder why. I particularly like the section on the left with all the shapes in it. And, how intriguing - the paint brush poised above as if it is the thing responsible for the section and not the artist! ~.~ Love, Grammy -- Grammy

Dear Finley - I just LOVE your Zentangle! What a great name to combine: zen and tangle! Zen - a sort of contentment, and tangle - a sort of web that seems to trap the contentment. I just think you drawing is fantastic! Love, Grammy -- Marsha

Finley, I think your "Rising Sun" is very mature and subtle. It's my favorite picture you have done. I'm also quite fond of your bright torn paper city picture. -- Grammy
