Leyton! Is this the piece you were telling me about? Does this have anything to do with the Mona Lisa? There is a great deal of energy and movement happening! Love, Nana -- Joyce

Leyton, this piece is very sensitively drawn! Is it a watercolor? My first reaction was that it was the interior of a flower. Or perhaps it's just an abstraction. I love the movement and energy of the flowing lines. A beautiful rendering! -- Joyce

Hi Leyton! We'll have to discuss this piece when we next talk. It appears to be an abstraction of perhaps a still life you were looking at? I like the little details you included in it. And your mom is right, the colors are wonderful. Did your teacher encourage you to use lots of color, or was it your choice? Well done!! Love, Nana -- Joyce

Hey Leyton! Is this a still life? Did you actually have this plant in front of you? The colors are very pleasing. I also like how it is a little offset...not exactly in the middle. Interesting! Love, Nana -- Joyce

Leyton...these two pieces are so interesting. Was this a study using hot and cold colors? I especially like the use of color in the piece on the right. The sky is lovely! I also like the movement in it! Love, Nana -- Joyce
