Sean: I think I recognize the boy in that silouette picture! That boy looks like a basketball player though, rather than a football and baseball player. Good picture of you. You should keep that one in your scrapbook for when you are older. Love, Aunt Babs

Sean: This is neat - like a spiral staircase viewed from different directions and different distances. But I still like your castle and ship the best - I guess I am just enchanted with Medieval Times and old ships. Love, Aunt Babs

Sean: You continue to amaze me with your art work. I really love the Mayflower and the castle. But I think your artwork technique really shows through on the Rene Margritte style picture with the apple as the boy's face. You really did the shadowing and the shape on the apple well. It's truly amazing. I like the Frida Kahlo self portrait also with all the baseball bats and balls around your head. Are those always in your thoughts? The Amedeo Madigliani picture looks somewhat like your Dad! I am amazed with your drawing. You really have a knack there. Love you much, Aunt Babs

Dear Sean: Did you receive this as an award for all your excellent artwork or did you design this as a poster. Either way, congratulations - good job! Love, Aunt Babs

Sean: Again, wonderful picture. I hope you continue your fine artwork in 5th grade and develop your talent even more. Your reflective picture is very good, and the contrast in colors makes it interesting. One in light the other not? Love, Aunt Babs

Sean, Your drawing is excellent! The lines are very clean and in control. I could not draw this picture. You are talented and I hope you enjoy your artwork as much as I do. Love you! Mom

Sean: Great picture. I can't believe how good you are at getting the body proportions correct. I was never able to get any proportions correct. In fact, my first picture in kindergarten, I drew the head so big that they had to attach two more sheets of paper in order for me to have room to draw in a body! Is this a picture of a teacher or someone you know? Love, Aunt Babs

Dear Sean: What a wonderful castle! I dream of going to Europe some day and visiting a real castle. In fact I was reading in this past Sunday's paper about a travel company that will book you in a castle to sleep over night rather than sleeping in a hotel! The castle you drew is very different from the Hearst Castle that you visited in California this summer with your Mom, Kristin and Aunt Mo. Excellent picture. Do you ever dream of living in a castle? Or do you just dream of the dragons and the knights of the castle. Love you very much. Aunt Babs

Dear Sean: After seeing your pictures of your California trip this weekend, I can now see your drawing of your vacation - walking across the Golden Gate Bridge. Very nice drawing of your memoralbe trip! (Now, I would have thought you would have drawn yourself sitting in the lounge chair at the Grecian Pool at Hearst Castle!) Love, Aunt Babs

Sean: I love the Lorax! It looks like a great imaginary animal. You always did love animals and maybe some day you will go on an adventure somewhere and discover a new animal! Or maybe you will be one to finally befriend the Lochness Monster and bring him into civilization. Your artwork is truly amazing. You have a great eye and sense of proportion. I don't think I could draw a Lorax even half as well. Love, Aunt Babs

Hi Sean WOW!! What a talented artist you are. I love the Corderoy picture and the "Untitled" one. You will have to teach me how draw one of these days. I am so proud of you. Over spring, you will have to help me pick out one to get for myself. Love you lots!! Aunt Mo

Sean: Your Monochromatic Dog looks almost exactly like Licorice! If only your dog were black with that little bit of white on the face it would be exactly him! Love to see your artwork. You are such a good artist. I can't believe the wonderful work you do in school.

Sean, I really like your picture of Wild Thing. That book was a favorite of mine. Your Wild Thing is very well drawn. It looks like the monster in the book. Your drawing is great Buddy! Love, Mom

Sean: Love your "Wild Thing". He looks menacing, but that he could have a soft touch to him too... kindof like the "monsters" in Monsters, Inc. But I hope this guy doesn't crawl under your bed! But I bet Bailey would scare him away. Love you and see you this weekend.

Sean: I love bears and I love your picture of Corduroy. Does this mean that you are now a Chicago Bears Fan? Love, Auntie Linda.

Dear Sean: Wow! I couldn't believe this was your artwork! You are such a good artist. Believe me, I can't draw nearly as well and I am much older. Maybe when you come to visit me and stay at my house in July, you can give me some pointers on how to draw a good picture. (But you will probably grade mine all as an "F"!) You certainly have talent in your artwork, and I know you are doing well in your baseball. Maybe I can come to a game some time. We will have to set a date. Will you hit a home run for me? Keep up the good work in your art, school and baseball. Love you much.
