Looks like you learned about tessellations. Did you also learn about M.C. Escher? He did a lot of amazing tessellations. If you didn't learn about him, look him up. Papa loves what he did, very mathematical. I always had my 8th graders do their own tessellation. I have my best students examples that I would like to show you when you come over.

I know this was fun to do because you got to use pastels and your fingers and the shape appeared! Love the "glow" that was created with your light blue pastel. I have pastels so you could do this again. It's a fun trick isn't it.

Teagen, I want to know what you were studying. You used a lot of different patterns and colors. You always fill the space beautifully. Fun how you incorporated your name into the picture, it becomes part of the piece.

Looks like you were studying colors. When primary colors bump each other, they make a new color! I think it is funny how you turned your person into a football fan. Great how you used the entire paper with your figure. Very creative and great work Teagen.

Learning about Vincent Van Gogh is so fun. How he saw the sky with such energy. You really captured that same feeling. Love how you made the church's cross have greater importance. Looks so good.

Super cute Teagen! I especially love the addition of the eyes. Now to keep his hair growing will be a challenge for you. And the decision of when he needs a haircut will be up to you, how fun. Nice work.
