This work is really fascinating and original, blending music and painting, shapes and colors, and different perspectives of the figures. It all works really well, and stays vividly within the memory.

Great use of colors, both in themselves -- very strong tones-- and distribution throughout the painting, with focus on the central figure and her thoughts. -- Patrick

Genevieve's "Stained Glass Fish" is luminous and inviting, and demonstrates the young artist's continuing exploration of the interactions of depth, shadow and shading, and draws the viewer far into its magical underwater panorama. Jacques Cousteau Jr.would be very interested in studying this unique fish, of which none has been seen in the Mediterranean to date. -- Madame

This painting could be titled "Genevieve Through the Looking-Glass" as she peers through the windows at the world outside. The brown windows and the contrasting gentle shading of greens and yellows beyond give the painting an almost magical feel. a look into the world of art. There is also a layered effect, as the windows seem to be closer to the viewer than the scene beyond. an effect enhanced by the reappearance of the shadowy blue background at the top of the painting. -- Madame and Poppa

Genevieve has continued to grow in her mastery of color, line, shading and perspective. In this work she has taken a further step as a graphic artist in her striking avant-garde drawing of a bird, whose sharp bold orange against the soft shaded blue background is very Picasso-esque. Picasso saw human and other natural forms in a series of versatile shapes, and this bird exemplifies that vision in its clean abstract lines, which along with the sharply-defined green leaves contrast strongly with the pastel nuances of the sky behind. This is a fine, fine piece. -- Anita (Madame) and Patrick

We love the three-dimensional effect Genevieve has achieved here, with the fruit, flowers and butterfly and the two-toned apple that seems closer to the viewer. Strong use of color throughout, led by the contrasting orange-dominated sunflowers set against contrasting pale purple and blue backgrounds. -- Patrick and Madame
