Connor ! Connor ! This is a very detailed painting. Everything is perfect. I don't think I have ever seen a butterfly that looks like this but that does not mean there is not one out there somewhere. Did you see this somewhere or is it one of your many creations ? Your lines are perfect and painted with really cool designs. Good morning, sweet Connor. The sun is out, but the rain is coming later today. I can see in your painting, that your Sunflowers are getting a lot of rain, as well, which is why your flowers look so happy. Your Nanny used to spend many summer hours planting vegetables and a large variety of flowers. Some of those were Sunflowers. It would be really fun to see Sunflowers growing in your back yard. Dear Connor, When I began painting, I was a LOT older than you are. Wish I could sit in with your class and paint. I learned about the background color making flowers "pop" and also the importance of odd numbered items in a painting. Hello, sweet grandson. As the school year will soon be ending, GrandDad, and I, decided to look back at all your 1st grade paintings. We were not surprised to see the huge improvement in your work. Don't be surprised to see several of your paintings in our house when you come to visit. This one for sure. As you know, our home has a lot of trees, and it's hard to see the stars sometimes. So, I'm thinking this might be a painting of Dallas, because the moon and stars are in full view. Each person interprets art differently - it's supposed to be that way. When I study your creation, the buildings seem to take on their own personality. Not sure about GrandDad, but I see faces on some of the buildings. I see eyes and noses, and a couple of them appear to be sticking out their tongue!!!!!!! So funny! I see you've used one of your favorite colors......red. I'd like to know if you have a favorite building in the painting - one where you would like to live? Dear Connor! Dandelions!!! When I was a little girl, I would pick the delicate dandelions so gently, hoping that the petals would not fall off before I got to blow them. I'm sure you've grown up doing the same thing. I love how you have a petal flowing gently in the sky, which leaves only the stem. Dear Connor, Another favorite! A pumpkin! And, I see a starry sky with a big full moon in the background. That is a really spooky black sky. And, that's the way it should be on Halloween. Dear Connor, TULIPS! A very long time ago, your Great Grandmother planted tulips all around her yard. They were beautiful. When you come to visit, I will teach you how to plant them. Your tulip painting reminds me of so many colors in my yard, and I want you to have them in YOUR yard. After all, you're painting them, so you also need to grow them. It's fun! Dear Connor, I was so happy this Christmas when I opened my gift from you. It was a coffee cup with this picture on it. I just love these trees - and, I love using my new cup every morning.
