This bright poppy is nicely done. I am first cheered by the flower, but then remember it also is to remind Americans to remember the veterans who have defended their nation. Good job Carter! -- JulieBee

I really love the drawing you did here. I hope you got some more time later to color more of it in. I'm sure you ran out of time. I always thought art class was far too short! That bird just barely escaped being burnt by red-hot lava! -- AuntJulieBee

Aren't abstracts fun? I like your jagged, pointy designs. They're like teeth or pointed mountain-tops. The colors remind me of dinosaurs, though. Maybe they're really dinosaur tails in abract form? -- AuntJulieBee

This is a really cool Spinosaurus, Carter!! It was also on display with the other clay molds at the High School where he had his Spring Music Concert:) Great job, buddy!! -- Ashley

I know this is from 1st grade, but I'm hoping you still see new comments. I believe this self portrait can be looked at many ways... You have learned so much that you had to put your information in filing cabinets before you left the school to wait for a ride home on the Last Day of School! Or that's just part of the classroom and your knowledge is all in your brain like it should be. You look happy! -- AuntJulieB

This looks like a peaceful place to visit. You would want to take a lot of water, though; maybe an air-conditioner? O.K. that's just silly. I like the pale, blue sky in watercolor. The rest of the desert in the bolder colors looks just right. I like it, Carter. -- AuntJulieB

I don't know where my previous comment went. Sorry it was blank... This is an excellent jack-o-lantern. Is it a vampire, I wonder? I like the texture and different shades of color. -- AuntJulieB

What deep, rich colors you used for your blossom! I can't quite tell what medium you used. Chalk? I love the colors you chose. -- AuntJulieB

This is a very interesting piece of art. I don't even know how you made it. I like how the drawing is lighter than the background. It makes this look really old. Good job, Carter. -- AuntJulieB

Hi Carter! Your Guitar in Blues is so pretty! I like how some areas are colored in and others are not. It looks very cool that way. You should draw more like these! ?? -- AuntJulieB

I would expect to see your fall tree in an art museum! Its shape is strong and solid in base and gnarly as it goes up. I love the twisty parts and leaves. I think it looks best with just a few like you did. -- AuntJulieBee

I like the way you made this super saturated with color. I would love to swim in that sea, if only that monster wasn't hanging around! What's up with him?! -- AuntJulieBee

Wow Carter! Those are sure SILLY! I think your mom should knit you a pair just like them! :} Hahaha. After she learns how to knit. Tell her to take a class so you get some socks. I love the pattern you created. I love you very much honey. Your great Aunt Julie B -- Julie

Hi Carter. This low relief sculpture looks like it was fun to create! I see that you like squares and rectangles best. It makes me think of a bunch of buildings built on someones farm. You were thinking of something entirely different, I'm sure. :) I like it! Love, Aunt Julie -- JulieB

All of these pieces of artworks can be put on clothes, jewelry, etc, but this artwork was my favorite when I looked at a few pendant necklaces! It almost reminded me of what an opal looks like, but with more lines:) Looked super cool! Way to go, Bubba!! -- Ashley

Neat Carter Lego Man in jeans. I wonder which big Lego kit you would want to be in if you were actually a Lego Man (that could move, of course.) -- JulieB

This makes me think of a kid who is green with nausea and about to puke on the pet in the cage. Pretty interesting! Maybe that's not what you actually drew, though. I can't help my imagination... -- JulieB
