Way to go, Kaeleigh! This piece of art is really whimsical. Glazing is fun but you are right- it is difficult to make sure not to get paint on the parts that are not suppose to have glaze. You never really know until it is fired! Sunflower K—cute name! Love Grammy

Kaeleigh: Great analogous color choices for your sun bloom. Yes, I’m sure getting the consistent petals to crate the symmetry of your flower was time consuming. It turned out very nice. Good work! Love, Grammy

Kaeleigh : This work is stunning! Having recently seen a live bald eagle helped you see how striking their plumage is. You made it come alive. Clever props—hat and cake—complete a nod to America 250. Great work! Love, Grammy

I think this is paint but it’s so precise it could be a block print of some kind. Love the dramatic contrasting color. My first thought: leaves. Then pine cones. Then even seaweed. GAK
